[identity profile] kayla-la.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] artists_beware
It has been brought to our attention that Starfinder/Kannos is attempting to petition themselves back onto Furaffinity. For those new or who don't remember, feel free to browse her tag for more information on her history. She was banned from Furaffinity for not finishing commissions for years and refusing to comply with admin requests.

This is a post to touch base with past commissioners and check to see if her statements that she owes no further work and is in the clear are true. This is not a post to attack her, be it here or on her inkbunny, and we will be taking action against people from here that we find commenting on her page after this post goes up.

So again, anyone who has commissioned Starfinder/Kannos, please let us know if she still owes you work. We will be taking the information we gain from this post to Furaffinity for them to review, good or bad. Links to past AB posts you have made or proof that she does indeed owe you would be more helpful than vague comments, thank you!

I get your point, but I think you missed mine. I specifically chose to use Yelp as an example because it's been known for bad restaurants (etc.) to retaliate against bad feedback. I think debating about whether Yelp is 'more neutral' than Inkbunny is irrelevant.

It's not naive, to expect someone who's claimed to make a sincere effort towards self-improvement, to hope that they can stand up to their own hoped-for standards. I think it's rather condescending to call that naive. The whole point is we want to see if Starfinder is making good on her word. She didn't have to censor the bad feedback -- she had the choice to respond to it maturely and she chose not to.

I guess the difference is I don't see it as inappropriate to remove negative feedback in an area specifically designated for positive feedback from recent commissions. The complainant has said she did respond - apparently maturely - to them, just in a different venue. Being mature also doesn't mean you have to prominently display your teenage misdeeds to your current customers; it means you make people who suffered for them whole. Whether that happens, or the user gets stringed along, we'll have to see.

If she has taken the time to respond personally to the hidden feedback then fair enough. (This isn't something I saw mentioned elsewhere.)
