EXPLAIN:
All of the conversations are screencapped in order above, most of the convo happened over journal comments
February 25th.
She opened a journal for sketch bust commissions and I was actually there to catch them. I usually always catch her commissions journals after they close so I jumped at the chance and ordered two commission slots from her. She put me down for the commissions and as she didn't require payment until after she was finished with them I didn't pay yet. I expressed my excitement to finally be getting art of my fursona from her. I noticed below me someone else had asked for the sai files so they could colour them, I also wanted to get them coloured or colour them myself so I asked for the sai files as well. She said it was okay and she would just need my email so she could send me the full files. I told her I would note her my email after I paid.

March 1st.
She replied to me with the thumbnails of my sketch commissions saying once I paid she would send me the big files. I paid automatically but then clicked on the images I commissioned. The one I commissioned of my husbands fursona was perfectly fine but the one of my fursona was missing all of her piercings except for her industrial which was in the wrong ear. Hir hair was also too short, coming down to hir chin when her hair is at ( and past in some places ) the shoulders. I noted Falvie asking her to please fix the hair and piercings, even going far as to list all of hir piercings so she knew what all of them where and their locations.

March 3rd.
She hadn't read her notes to I replied to my comment on the journal again asking her to read her notes and reminding her that I had sent payment.

March 5th.
She replied saying that she was sorry for the delay and she would get back to me soon.

March 6th.
I replied saying It's fine and that I couldn't wait to see it.

March 9th.
I still hadn't heard from her so I asked if she knew how long it would be.

March 11th.
She replied saying once again that she was sorry for the delay and that she would tried to get back to me that night.
I replied once again telling her it was okay.

March 15th. ( I forgot to screenshot this but unless she deletes it you can see it on the actual journal. )
I had wrote a comment saying "It's been four days..."

Sometime around March 22nd. ( This shout has been nuked from her page so I couldn't screenshot it/have the correct date )
I didn't hear from her again despite trying to be patient so I wrote a shout on her page asking her to please reply to my note about the edits and that I still haven't received the file for the commission that didn't need edits.

March 22nd.
She finally noted me back saying she was sorry for the delay and the link for the commission of my fursona.
She had added the piercings but put them on the wrong side ( Industrial in the wrong ear, hoop in the wrong ear and the nostril piercing on the wrong side. ) and also gave my fursona two industrials. She also didn't attempt to edit the hair at all. She also still didn't send me the full files of my second commission.
I noted her back a little bit more serious than I had been when speaking to her. Resending her my reference and pointed out what was still wrong.

March 24th.
She opened up for two ych's and did in stream commissions. My note was still ignored even though she was online.

March 29th.
I wrote another shout saying "Please respond to my note, I am getting fed up."
She noted me back saying that she was sorry that I was upset with her work and that she "fixed the piercings like I asked" that she only had time to edit one thing and that she was "Sorry for not clarifying that." She also said that she was sick and didn't have much time on her hands and that she was sorry that my buiness with her hadn't been well.

I never expecting to have bad buiness with this artist. I know she went through a rough patch a while back but I thought she had grown past this. I bought a character from her in the past but that was quick and painless. She is hard to get in contact with and hard to work with. I love her art but I'm glad this was only a sketch. I would hate to see how much worse this would have been if it was a coloured piece.

Edit: I have since linked her to this artist beware stating that it will be marked as resolved once she fixes my drawing. It has been read but not responded to. I do not think she cares anymore.

Edit: I noted her again telling her that if she does not do the edits I will do a chargeback and she read the note and quite promptly refunded me without a single word said. I would like this to be marked as resolved.

This is a master post for the artist Falvie: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/falvie/

Currently, Falvie is undergoing a gathering of all previous customers and this post is to clarify who has, and has not, been added to her lengthy queue. Currently she is unable to use her account over at Furaffinity for contact. I will edit this with contact info, should she come and post it here and wish it to be available.

Please feel free to post the following if you are a customer of Falvie's:

- Date of Ordering:
- Price:
- What you ordered: (keep brief please)
- Are you wanting a refund?: Y/N

Please do not make any comments here unless you are one of her customers or Falvie herself, as we are trying to give her every chance possible to make things right. If you want to discuss more on this topic, you are free to head on over to this post for more recent information - http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/711644.html

Do not harass the artist posted here, or any of her helpers/assistants. Please keep in mind that this post is genuinely to give Falvie a chance to compile lost customers for her master list. You may link this post to customers who are not aware of AB, and may wish to add their commission to this post.

My experience with Falvie has not been at all pleasant. She has lacked communication with me since I commissioned her. Apparently I am not the only one and it has gotten to the point where she now has a 'helper' to get all of her commissions in check. Completion promises have been made (by the third party) and not completed or reached and commission lists have been purged! I have lost money on more then one account because of this fandom and some of it's 'artists'. Keeping my mouth shut ends today.

NOTE: Falvie has been posted about on Artists_Beware before, for the same behaviors (huge delays in commissions, rude behavior, ignoring direct inquiries).

More Details Inside )

While I myself have not been as horribly burned by Falvie, money-wise, as others have, there is no indication that I will receive my art any time soon. If others have been waiting a YEAR for their art, how can Falvie possibly finish their art AND all of the commissions she has piled up (and is STILL taking) in the meantime?

As beautiful as Falvie's work is, I must recommend against ever commissioning her. It is a crapshoot - you might get your work within a few hours or days, or you may never see it.

At best, be ready to initiate a PayPal chargeback if you do not have your artwork from her near the end of PayPal's 45-day limit. And don't ever commission her if you have a deadline (birthday, Valentine's Day, etc.) that you need to meet.

EDIT SEPTEMBER 30TH - this issue is now RESOLVED, as I have received my refund.

As of now, I HAVE received a refund on this commission. While I am trying to keep my personal feelings out of it, I feel it is relevant to mention that communication was established with this artist with amazing quickness and directness once I actually began the PayPal chargeback process and directly demanded a refund.

I also specifically requested that the artist NOT finish my commission OR draw me anything in "apology", but she did so anyway. While I appreciate the gesture, I don't like feeling obligated to be grateful for something I specifically did not ask for. (If this information is irrelevant, I will remove it.)

All in all, this artist has a lot of potential as a commission artist. She has lots of talent and can finish art in good time when she actually gets to doing it. Problem is, she has a terrible attitude and I wouldnt recommend commissioning her outside of quick IN STREAM commissions or for any complicated characters that will have things that may need correcting. I am happy with the art she had given me, but not the missed deadlines and general unprofessional attitude as well as complete disregard for paying customers.

I apologize if anything is confusing or horribly misworded.

WHERE: Her Livestream that she was hosting.
WHAT: A while back Falvie had a journal up for dragon commission slots. I was unable to get the money in time so she said she will be doing more of them. So after waiting for a long time for her to open some more, I decided I'd post a shout asking her if she was going to do them soon. She said that she could take my commission. So after waiting 2-3 months I asked her if she had done my commission yet. She said she'd get to it tomorrow. She kept saying stuff like that...tomorrow. So, I noticed she was streaming, so I watched her stream for a couple of days, hoping that she'd do mine. I noticed that she kept doing other people's commissions. I got kind of impatient, here it is 3 months and she had only gotten a sketch done.
Here's the log of the situation:
KittenJ: Falvie? I've been waiting like a really long time for my drawing. :< I don't want to sound like a ***, but I'm going to have to go to another artist. :/
NekoMaya: you need patience Kitten
KittenJ: 3 months is quite a lot of patience.
falvie: thats why you dont pay
falvie: guess you just wanted the free sketch
KittenJ: not really.
KittenJ: i just wanted my drawing. :/
falvie: you saw me working on it
falvie: be patient
falvie: geeze
KittenJ: ...
UglyEric: ehhh falvie, you're being really rude to a customer
falvie: i dont care?
falvie: jesus
KittenJ: wow.
UglyEric: wow
falvie: i was clearly working on it
falvie: i have MY own life to tend to
UglyEric: you're being unprofessional
falvie: i am unprofessional
falvie: if i lose customers so well
falvie: go off with your sketch and pay someone else to color it
KittenJ: i'll delete it.
KittenJ: hope you change your mind about how you work with customers. and take care.
UglyEric: also, maybe kittenj can just pay for the sketch?
blackstatic: that's pretty rude of you as well
KittenJ: it's just very sad to see such a great artist that i look up to say that to me. :/
falvie: oh well, she was rude!
KittenJ: i wasn't trying to be rude.
UglyEric: i didnt really see much rudeness on her behalf personally.
falvie: drop it.

WHEN: I first started communicating about this commission roughly in December. She replied in the journal, that is now deleted in December; same day. The livestream was around midnight on the 2nd of March, 2012.
