You shouldn't receive an email if you sent in a report against a user--reports are generally looked into fairly quickly (though only during business hours).

Meanwhile trouble tickets are hit/miss. I've sent some in that weren't looked at for months, and when they finally were I just got some automated e-mail back that didn't say anything useful or even pertinent to my question.
