Beware: PirateCashoo

WHO: Pirate Cashoo
WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/pirate-cashoo/
WHAT: Bust art
WHEN: This was started early October of 2012, with little to no contact since.

PROOF:
Original order:

Response

Paypal proof. Did it as a gift, stupid me.

Check in and extra ref offer in november:

Checking in again in january, no response:

And that's the last time we spoke.

EXPLAIN: I have asked for updates politely multiple times, added references because as of October the character was rather new.
Asked for updates via shout on their DA and FA page, each which got zero response from her but some kind warning from AB users here.

At this point I'm going to have to just eat the lost funds, but would like to know if there is any attempt on her part being done to finish back art, mine included.

Oh yeesh, with Cashoo either call your bank to get a chargeback, call Paypal to report her and try to get a refund on the phone by explaining she's a chronic scammer, or just take it as money gone.

She's a scam artist, plain and simple. Sorry you lost your money to her.

I second the comment above - Contact your bank, and CALL Paypal to alert them. The more marks on her account the more she'll be investigated and Paypal may decide in your favor despite being past 45 days.

Their art is really nice, It's too bad that there's yet another report of them scamming people :/

In regards of what to do, I echo "Genkigami"s advice. Goodluck :c

[identity profile] stokerbramwell.livejournal.com 2013-05-17 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I literally said "AGAIN??" out loud.

Just how many times is she going to show up on here?

[identity profile] tealmoonxiv.livejournal.com 2013-05-17 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh God, not her again.

Do what Genkigami said.

But seriously can she be arrested already. Please.

[identity profile] neolucky.livejournal.com 2013-05-17 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
There's quite a huge group of people she owes and has owed for several years, so...I'm sure it'll pop up quite a bit more =/

[identity profile] intj-reflection.livejournal.com 2013-05-17 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Someone over on DA was compiling a list of owed/in progress commissions for Cachet. Last time I viewed the document there were forty people/pieces outstanding. Some of those customers have already made A_B posts, but by no means all.

Forty, my god. I'd go insane :o

[identity profile] kasune.livejournal.com 2013-05-17 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Jeez... FORTY outstanding pieces, as said above. This is crazy.
This really needs to be escalated, what a horrible situation.

[identity profile] deejthistle.livejournal.com 2013-05-18 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
It was at 44 the last I looked :C

What's really horrifying is adding up the totals, even with many having no prices.

[identity profile] tealmoonxiv.livejournal.com 2013-05-18 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
Over 40 and apparently totaling into the thousands money wise.
:(

This name sounds familiar

[identity profile] neolucky.livejournal.com 2013-05-18 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
Her tag is located here, if you're curious about previous AB reports - http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/tag/artist-pirate-cashoo%2Fzombiepirate

My initial response to this beware was "...../really/?"

I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

I need to keep bugging my boyfriend to chargeback on her, I don't think she's going to crawl out of her hole until someone pulls her out - like the cops.

(frozen comment) OP Warning

[identity profile] neolucky.livejournal.com 2013-05-18 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Op, I realize you are angry about this whole thing but I believe you should probably read our rules listed here: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/profile

I'm giving you a heads up that by posting on Cashoos DA page, you're in violation of Rule #2. Please do not do this again, as it can earn you a ban. This is your only warning.

[identity profile] paradedemon.livejournal.com 2013-05-18 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
.-. She has so many AB posts here just oh wow. And over FORTY outstanding pieces woah woah woah.

[identity profile] latiro.livejournal.com 2013-05-18 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
not surprised to see her up there again, but 40+ commissions? Yikes!

also she got suspended on FA

or contact them any other way if the matter under discussion does not regard you personally.

I thought rule number 2 only applied to people not involved in the situation?

[identity profile] germanchoclates.livejournal.com 2013-05-18 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
This girl is going to have more appearances on AB this year than Cirque Du Soleil in Vegas. I swear.

All she has to do is get a job and slowly work on coms and communicate. What is so hard about these things?

(frozen comment) Re: OP Warning

[identity profile] trentxandrew.livejournal.com 2013-05-18 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
I'm confused, when an AB post is made does that mean the OP cannot contact the person publicly? Only through notes and e-mails? Or is the OP only allowed to contact the person specifically about the transaction and nothing else?

SIGHHHHHHHH.

I thought it didn't apply to the people involved?
