Her need to continually do the small pieces and push aside these larger owed pieces is the result of her poor time management and bad work ethic, to be completely honest here. If she had done things properly in the first place, she wouldn't be in this position now.

What she needs to do is to get a part-time hourly paid job so that she can stop with this cycle. Until she does that, issues will continue to pop up.
