I hope this is allowed....
I am trying to compile a list of things people have said to artists and commissioners that have a negative view/stance on various subjects surrounding art. Mediums, pricing, marketing, art itself, methods, etc.  Anything and everything, even if it seems minor. What arguments have you seen out there?
Please number/point if you have more than one to share.

Examples of what I'm looking for:
-Digital is worth more than traditional.
-Art isn't a real job. (Everyone knows this one)
-Digital art is cheating.
-Patreon is a scam/paywall.

Variations on the same thing and details are welcome because sometimes it can add another dynamic to the opinion that must also be tackled.

"Why won't you be my friend after talking one time! You're a shitty artist now and I'm going to tell everyone."

I didn't mention it bc it wasn't a specific phrase, but honestly, when artists and commissioners use over familiar language when they have a purely business relationship... using pet names like "sweetie" or "darling", generous use of emojis (I use some very sparsely, but when it's like, chat among friends level of xD ;-; :D owo it's a bit...)

I appreciate your business, so I am willing to be friendly, but I am not willing to be your friend.

I had this one customer who liked to try to do little RP actions in his notes to me. Like "*wags his tail and brushes against you*" ... It made me so uncomfortable so I told him to knock it off. He did for the rest of that transaction, but started up again with the next one.

I have him blocked now though. He got all mad about a YCH pic I was doing for him and eventually told me to scrap it 'cause he didn't want it anymore. I'd already spend an hour or so refining the sketch into his characters. He was already on my last nerve so I blocked him. After he sent me a jillion emails whinging about how unfair I was being and there was silence... it was so much better.

YIKES. It makes me really uncomfortable when people do casual RP action things in even just casual day-to-day interactions. I stopped going to a friend's stream because there was one guy who would do really creepy overfamiliar actions like that, like *straddles you* and *licks you and howls*. Like, I realise these things aren't actually physically being done to me, but the implication of casually entering someone's personal bubble and doing those things is so skeevy.

Your patience for dealing with him as long as you did though is commendable. You deserve a slow clap honestly, I think the moment someone tries to start RPing again with me despite being told to stop is the moment I'd call things off.
