Update: Taking SilverFoxx420/GhettoImmortal to small claims court.

I posted earlier with my ongoing issues with trying to get a refund or commission for  $600 from SilverFoxx420/GhettoImmortal. After sending her a message regarding her recent commission work and a possible payment plan, I waited two weeks before sending her a final resolution request. She was informed of my intention to take the commission issue to court if she would not provide a resolution plan. She responded saying that I should take her to court.

It was at this time she uploaded the only physical work I've seen her complete for this commission in the entire five and a half years it was in progress. She also was able to respond to my message in one evening, but was unable to do so prior for the past two weeks or ever before.
It's entirely unfortunate that this commission has gone this way, but there appears to be no other way to regain losses.

Her attitude is appalling. It's clear that she flat out doesn't want to pay you back and she's just making excuses.

Please do take her to court. If it doesn't work, at least it'll scare the wits out of her and maybe make her think twice before scamming money. I hope for the best for you, though!

And, at the end of all this, I hope you did learn your lesson about who to trust with your money. An expensive lesson, yes, but I'm sure you're probably a lot more responsible with your money now, so at least you've got that.

Collect all the evidence you have, emails, receipts, the whole nine yards. A lot of times court will find online stuff sketchy, because the defendant can claim "it was my friend using my account, lol". Any real life evidence you might have is a good thing to have on hand. Also make an organized time line with printouts you can give to the judge. $600 is a couple months rent for me, so I can sympathize with your desire to have that money refunded.

http://silverfoxx420.deviantart.com/ she seems to be updating this?

Yes she's absolutely wretched. Of course it doesn't matter out of the dozens of commissions Ive done, this is the only one I never did? I obviously was young and had no idea about the dangers and stress of taking such a large workload. I never would have done it if I had the experience I do now.

Since deciding to pursue my art again full time. I'm updating, and also constantly and avidly working off that said commission. Zomg? Check the galleries.

I think it's time for an entry edit? Or court paperwork since your taking me there? Or perhaps a response the many messages I have sent since this interaction? (I responded out of anger after finally being threatened with legal nonsense after years of silence, so I had the whole bringit attitude, my stupidity)

Btw after my father's & I checked his paypal records (it was his account used for that transaction). Whether it was sent incorrectly or not, 600$ wasn't the total received.

Also, for the record, I don't trace my work. Many people on this thread have watched me work from scratch and could vouche for this. Sometimes I reference something, but if I heavily reference, I give credit. Thanks :)

A vouch of character

Marisa Rinaldo has been my friend for YEARS. I find that all of this bashing is being taken FAR out of context for those involved. HEY. ASHLEY. Your sick right? The medical bills cost a lot?

Ever think that the person you've been bashing across the internet airwaves might have the same issues? I was there the day she was fired from work. It was bullshit. She was half an hour late due to having to take her dog to the vet, who had just had a seizure that morning. I was the first text she sent to let our mutual boss know where she was. On top of the emotional trauma of not knowing if your dog is going to be ok, she had to be at our work meeting an already emotional wreck. At first our boss fired us all. Then snidely made a remark and let her, and her alone go.

If you had committed any portion of your time to a job where you worked your way up a ladder, you would understand the devastation she must have felt at losing her job of four years+. Apparently this is something you cannot understand since you've decided to continue airing your dirty laundry here. I find your behavior to be callous.

I understand that you would be upset if she were doing loads of other commissions, but the fact of the matter is you were linking OLD commissions that she just HAPPENED to have finished. Its unfortunate you put the heaviest workload on her. Any artist out there will agree that taking on a sketchbook commission is a HUGE deal. I'd like to know how many other sketchbooks you have commissioned since commissioning Marisa. How many did you commission before? Obviously you knew it was a large investment and would take time. Usually a person would find other means to stay in touch with the artist that they had given so much money to. Obviously this is not the case with yourself. Believe me, I would know if one of my closest friends had decided to immerse herself in the furry world to make some new cash after losing all source of income. In fact, I encouraged her to start doing so recently, but she had made a moral decision of her own accord to complete the artwork equivalent to the $600 she was paid 6 years ago. The effort that has been put into these pieces has made me proud to call Marisa my friend and excited that she's posting again. I still think it was childish for you to publicly post in order to get a response. I find it interesting that you don't cite any e-mails between yourselves, but you're completely willing to screencap the shit out of facebook posts.

I'd also like to address the alleged "gallery hopping." MANY artists out there will choose multiple websites to service their art posting needs. I think its hilarious for you to think that she would be intentionally creating new pages in order to avoid YOU. Again, we are brought back to your being so careless about not staying in touch in the first place. The only reason you might think she had abandoned any of the galleries in question is...because she DID. During the years between her being active in the furry world, becoming the manager of a local store and now, I've not seen her TOUCH an art website until the past few months.

Funny thing is, you've been too busy to notice. In fact, there has been further communication between you both in regards to the "new agreement" between you two, while this post still sits stagnant with drama.

If we really want to start throwing stones, I could screencap the quote I already sent you on FA when you asked me to not collaborate with Marisa on artwork that was owed to you. WHY would you say "its ok for those two artists to help" and then turn around and try to convince ME that there is some sort of lawsuit that's going to happen?

We all know damn well that you've got more important things, like medical bills, to pay for. IF you've got money to pay for both medical bills AND a lawyer, why are you going after my friend in the first place when you know damn well she doesn't have the cash you seek?

LIFE SUCKS right now. FOR EVERYONE. The economy is forcing us all to scrounge for what work we can get and intentionally trying to damage someones ability to do so is usually frowned upon. Again, I am reminded of how callous this entire post is.

Way to be guys...way to be.
