I don't know how I feel about the whole thing as I have little to no experience with costumes. I can see why the customer thought she might be getting the extra fur if it went along the lines of paying for materials, saying you had 8 yards of fabric now, but I won't send you the rest, etc. You obviously knew that she only paid for 5 of the 8 yards (or whatever), but I can see where the commissioner might not and feel like they were getting what they paid for. Basically I can really easily see where both sides were coming from.

In terms of your warranty, you may want to figure out how you want to limit it better. What I mean is that is it 60 days to bring up an issue or 60 days to ship it to you? I think that one day you'll run into a similar situation when an issue has been brought up within the 60 days, but just for whatever reason can't be shipped out until later. (You still may have the same issue where the "fix the chest" to you means altering where it sits, but not removing padding, but the commissioner wants a larger change. Maybe specify that it is only for modifying existing features?)

I also don't know about the beak, because you haven't included anything from the initial back and forth (unless I'm just an idiot which is always possible). Was it brought up that the beak would be angled down, particularly in soft foam? I just figure that's one for the professionals to bring up.

It was definitely wrong for the commissioner to offer adjustments to it in the auction and I can see where you'd be really frustrated in general. That being said, I don't know why the second auction would prompt you to post? I mean the commissioner seems to be doing everything right in the second one.
