Due to ongoing time constraints, puppetmaker40 has stepped down as moderator. Thank you, puppetmaker40, for your time and input while you were a mod!

Thus, we are once again asking for a volunteer to take on the sometimes challenging and frequently time-consuming role of an A_B mod.

Time in A_B (how long have you been here?): I have been around A-B since early 2009, mostly watching and reading beware and advice posts
Hours Available (about what times will you be available to help?): I am available 6-8:30am then 6pm-12am M,T,F
11am-12:30 pm, then 10pm-2am T-Thurs
Saturdays I am usually available all day though some Saturdays I work 10-3pm
Sundays all day.

Why do you want to volunteer for A_B?:
I would like to volunteer for A_B because I believe it's a wonderful community not only for buyers but sellers as well. It offers advice and a means to keep others informed of poor (or sometimes awesome) business conduct

Time in A_B (how long have you been here?): I've been here since early 2011. Only had to post here once.

Sundays: All day.

Moderation Experience, if any (please share with us where and what you have moderated before): I've been the active moderator and maintainer of the metal_furs community for 4 years.

Why do you want to volunteer for A_B?: I would like to volunteer for A_B community because I find it to be a very informative, useful, well-known location for a wide diversity of people. With my background being in psychology I would be able to provide a very sound, un-biased, neutral presence as a moderator in the A_B community. I'm very big into rules and regulations- as I believe it is the rules that create a fun and plentiful (entry-wise) foundation for the entire community as a whole. As a moderator I would be sure to maintain healthy boundaries and retaining a friendly and safe online environment the with fellow members and other moderators. Thank you for your consideration.

Time in A_B (how long have you been here?): Since the community first started. I love how it grew into what it is today.

Hours Available, please specify your time zone or put in GMT (about what times will you be available to help?): M-W usually. I work 2 or 3 days a week and they usually fall between Thursday and Saturday. This week I'm off Friday. It's weird. I am gone in the afternoons for D&D at a friend's house but am usually available Sundays.
I check the internet daily. Mountain Time.

I was also a head administrator on on Furtopia.org a few years ago but stepped down when I got sick and was doing full time college.

Why do you want to volunteer for A_B?: Like artistrecommend I find this community to be one of the best places to check on an artist before I spend a great deal of money on something. I've also found it very helpful in showing a few artists where they need to stop and change how they handle business. I've seen this community help many artists change for the better when they get to a point where things may be getting over their heads.
I'd love to be a part of the community and I have the ability to be impartial regardless of personal feelings when it comes to enforcing rules and proper behavior.

Time in A_B (how long have you been here?): Off and on, with various journal accounts for about 6 years? Its been quite a while.

Hours Available, please specify your time zone or put in GMT (about what times will you be available to help?): Saturday- Tuesday, any time. Wed-Friday, varies by work schedual. Eastern time zone.

Moderation Experience, if any (please share with us where and what you have moderated before): Former fchan moderator, under the name Samiya. Various small communities/forums over the years.

Why do you want to volunteer for A_B?: I want to help this community continue to improve, and move away from the old reputation it once had.

Time in A_B (how long have you been here?): I believe 2 years

I also sleep between 1 AM and 10 AM ish. I'm at my computer all the time and my email is tied into my phone, so I get LJ notifications there as well.

Moderation Experience, if any (please share with us where and what you have moderated before): I've done some LIGHT forum moderation and MUCK/RPG moderation. I've taught panels at conventions and put together a large scale folio project so I do have a lot of people-experience. I was also a manager at a call center for a while, but that's IRL moderation ;D

Why do you want to volunteer for A_B?: This community has been of great value to me and many other artists and I would be happy to help keep it running! I am very very happy that it's around.

I found my fellow mods very supportive and on the ball.

It is a group effort so you will have lots of help.

I stepped down due to work that has consumed and will be consuming my life so I couldn't give this community the attention it deserves.

Moderation Experience, if any (please share with us where and what you have moderated before): I was moderator over at FurrieHaven as well as a "Watcher" over on the Furtopia forums. On LJ I'm mod over at bicuriousgirls (though it's a bit dead).

Why do you want to volunteer for A_B?: This community has been such a valuable resource to me as an artist and I'd love to help it grow. I can be unbiased and impartial when it comes to the rules of a community or website as a whole.

Time in A_B (how long have you been here?): March 2010 at the very least, that's the date of the earliest post I made to the community so lets go with that.

Hours Available: I'm currently unemployed so I'm free and available almost constantly. My timezone is GMT -8.

Moderation Experience: Currently I'm a maintainer of the furrytrainwreck community. I know that helping to run a snark community may not put me in the best light here but I entirely understand that the rules here are stricter and that the different natures of said places are reflected in how they are run. That is something I would entirely respect. Through modding FTW I have learned the basics of how to use LJ in a mod capacity, screening posts etc.
I have also modded and been an administrator at several internet forums over the years. Dealing with people from a position of 'authority' is nothing new and I have always done my best to be fair and exhibit as little bias as possible.

Why do you want to volunteer for A_B?: A_B has been a WONDERFUL resource and helped me resolve at least three situations in the past, all with favourable results. If I was chosen as a mod I would love the opportunity to give something back. I'm an active poster already and try to contribute helpfully when I have something to offer.
The current mods, Kayla-La in particular are all wonderful and reasonable individuals who I would fully emulate in both enforcing the rules fairly and being willing to listen to suggestions.

Time in A_B: Since 08 or 09, at least.

Hours Available (Mountain Time): That's really variable. I work nights, but I'm often up during the mornings or late afternoons as well. So pretty much whenever. Let's say 11pm-11 am, for an average.

Moderation Experience: I mod lol_typo, ficreviewrants and repeat_that_plz, and have since the creation of those comms.

Why do you want to volunteer for A_B: Because I love this place, I think it's a great resource for artists and buyers, and I want to throw my shades in the ring to help keep it up and running smoothly.
