I'm just one mod and a newbie one at that hence the "hard to say". I don't really have the authority to take it upon myself to erase the tag entirely, though I am in agreement with that course of action. I'm going to speak to the other mods about how to handle this, and I didn't want Genkigami to feel that their query was being ignored.
