Explain: When I saw the Poll JuniperBerri had created about wanting to take Commissions, I commented and she told me she was low on money but she would send the payment when she got payed. Being nice, I told her i could wait until she got payed, and she told me she would pay me on Wednesday of December 26 2012. When that day came by and I had posted her Commission, she told me she would pay me that day when her money was transfered into the bank. I waited, and I have not seen that Payment yet, and everey time I have sent her a Note asking why she has not payed, i have not recieved a response and when I said something about it on her Shouts, she deleted the Comment, as well as the comment I made on a journal she creadted saying that she was not going to pay anyone before they made the Commission (found here http://juniperberri.deviantart.com/journal/#/d5ogmrx )

Approved, but please take screencaps of the relevant journals/poll, in case the commissioner deletes them. It happens all the time.

Also, the link to the note "my.deviantart.com/notes" is only accessible to you, so you'll need a screencap of that, also.

Finally, FA is not really an appropriate place for screencaps. You can use ImageShack (that is what I use). If you sign up for an account, which is free, you can upload images without resizing them. Just select "Do Not Resize" from the drop-down list when you upload.

Ahh ok. the reason i posted the screen cap on FA instead of DA is becuase i didnt want a whole bunch of drama started, but i can post it on Imageshack.
I will also get screenshots of the note and the journals and polls as well. thank you for such a quick response.

This is why I have a strict rule of not posting art until I've received payment, and usually I require all the payments to be made at least after sending a sketch (usually prefer in advance). I would recommend taking down the art, until they send you payment.

This. I have never taken on commissions, but members of my family have art wise and they got burned from people not paying them after the work was completed. If they are not willing to respond to any of the notes/messages about payment, or actually sending the money, then taking down the art would be best.

I have changed it to where the Commissioner pays half of the amount before i work on the commission, and then the rest either after i have made and posted a sketch the artist approves, or when the entire commission itself is finished....i ahte to do all that, but i know this wont be the last time this happens :/

Don't start work til you're paid. Either half or in full, just from reading her little rant about not paying upfront makes her seem difficult to deal with if you get on their bad side. The needless insults to artists who "half-ass" commissioned pieces. Well it's what you get when you go around looking for dirt cheap commissions from those just beginning to draw.

That is not how commissions work and this beware is already well-warranted on that basis alone.

Dude... you're not the rule-maker when you commission someone. You're the customer, not the employer, and customers are NOT always right.
