WHO: Sugio, Mark Welker

WHERE www.furaffinity.net/user/Sugio

WHAT: Sugio's 3/4 fullsuit commision for a total of $300 + $25

WHEN: 11/2010 ~ Present

http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/614515.htm

This might be an explanation of the entry above. Be aware, that it is a long story that sums up the story of the entire commission progress of Sugio and I. This is written in a timeline like format. But with a bit of narratives along the way.

It all started one day in late august when a roommate and friend at the time, Kassandra, had made a suggestion to one her of old friends by the name of Sugio, to get his first fursuit made my me. Lacking on funds and seeking experience of fursuit construction, Sugio and I had struck a deal for a price of ($300). I would make an almost full fursuit for him, short of the torso body. A concept piece was written up

Payment was received in partial, and the work was underway..
I told him to expect a 3-month turn around, not already knowing the labor in this type of project. It was my fault in missed deadlines for not knowing beforehand how long something like this actually takes. Simultaneously, other issues had arrived, aside from the herniation in my spine and partial paralysis.
1st-month~ all materials arrived, Kassandra had up and moved out on us due to some pointless argument, and I began working on the tail of the suit at a pace that I can muster up. Mind you, I had not realized the labor intensiveness that this project would take, and my body could only take so much strain. Regardless the tail was complete.

3rd-month~ Since I had missed the deadline, a new one was made. Once again I had a tough time understanding some of labor in this, I later mentioned that It would be done by at least Megaplex, for it was many more months away. Sugio never ceased to contact me and text message me about the suit. This occurred slowly, but over time, it became a daily, sometimes twice a day or more.

http://i.imgur.com/y92OUKc.png?1
As you can see, this was about a week before Megaplex. The suit was almost done, but it was for the most part complete, at least complete enough to walk around in it
So the plan was, that Sugio could use the suit for Megaplex and show it off to everyone in it's pre-release stages and then wash and return right after..
He decided to use the fursuit as if it were completed He ended up participating in most fursuit events, where I had instructed him not too do such in fear that it would ruin the holding stitches. Amazing those stitches held on, but the eyes I set in, had completely faded and the colors from them ran. The eyes were glossy paper with photographic ink printed onto them, and were still not ready for heavy intensive wear then. So the eyes were gone, and I spent time away from planning the wedding (which was also held at Megaplex) and convention forgoing to make a new set of eyes on the spot I had taken thread and stitched eyes into the balaclava for reassurance, After all, THIS WAS ALL TEMPORARY. After telling again that he should not have used the suit in the games, he took the suit and used it within a dance.:

The suit wasn't all that in bad shape from this convention, minus the eyes. He took the suit home where I expected him to wash after telling to take Triggerfox's panel on "how to take care of a fursuit" (Which he didn't go too) and to look up a fursuit cleaning website online, such as this:(http://forums.furtopia.org/index.php/topic,36325.0.html) and return the suit....

So after these shots, he wanted to hold on to it for much longer, so that he could wear it some more around the malls of Florida his turned into mall visits and an anime convenion (AFO).

He stops by Kazer's Brother's place (it's where we were living at the time) and drops the suit off about 2 months after the last time I saw it leave my hands

He had mentioned that he had a few friends " fix a few things" (voiding the contract). This suit has not been cleaned, it was very stinky and reeked of sweat, it still had sweat in it and was moist to the touch.
I put working on this off for a bit, as 2 weeks from receiving it, I had went through my spinal surgery and was order by the doctor (and by my own body) not to move around at all or lift really anything up. Despite this, Sugio kept on calling me on a daily event asking how his suit was doing etc.
He even started showing up at Kazer's Brother's place completely unannounced looking for me
In that moment of frustration. I canceled the commission, saying that I am done working on this, and you have done more then enough to void the contract. ( Taking it longer then agreed and having other people work on it)
So he said "fine" and came and picked the suit up..
This is when all the FA drama and Facebook drama, and everywhere else drama began to happen, This was in October of 2011
The suit was then modified after the canceling, by Kassandra and a ody suit was made for it by someone else.

There was bad water between us all for a year or so but it seemed like it was fading into the past
There was then the copyright art theft, which you can view all about in the artist beware tag Comm-sugio
(http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/614515.html

More actions arose out of this He claimed that he would burn the suit once he gets a new one He claims that he hates the suit (even when he's wearing it around)  This but his gallery is full of pictures of the fursuit.

Then he posted a fursuit makers review about me, I will assume at this point, still trying to spite me. The reason I assume this, is because he only started watching the group a day before he posted the journal. ~http://i.imgur.com/ioeSeYT.jpg?2

This was removed not long after and was followed by these

I am really annoyed with having to deal with this still This is the reason why I won't take commissioned fursuits anymore. He only paid around $300, which just covered the materials. It's been 1.5 years. I just don't even care anymore, and would like for this all to finally be over.

This is about where it leaves off Here's a link to the gallery of all images used and then some. http://nxcritter.imgur.com/all/ As well is gallery shows that he doesn't dis-like this suit to not use it.

The shouts he's making aren't really too comforting.

I won't be surprised if he comes here and starts posting spam again considering what happened in the last beware.

I thought he like, got hardcore banned though.

[identity profile] shukivengeance.livejournal.com 2013-02-05 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
He was banned, and will be banned again if he behaves the same way.

[identity profile] dragontripmon.livejournal.com 2013-02-05 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed he was. Though i'm sure he has friends that will defend him that would come here.

[identity profile] yume mugendai (from livejournal.com) 2013-02-05 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
He obviously hasn't read the FAQ on advice on how to handle being posted here. .3. (at this link: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/494658.html ) He's not very good at reading or following rules, his actions speak that very loudly.

[identity profile] princehadri.livejournal.com 2013-02-06 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
I've seen a lot of people posted about on here who always throw a fit about "I want it taken down", and it gets really difficult for me to believe that all of them can't see the nice red "no deletion" notice. It really feels a lot like they think that if they raise a big enough of a stink, they'll get their way.

[identity profile] yume mugendai (from livejournal.com) 2013-02-05 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I honestly don't think he understands what the point of this site is. It's not for picking fights (which he seems to believe it is), it's for warning other artists (or commissioners) about the previous actions of a certain artist/commissioner. :/

[identity profile] familliaraver.livejournal.com 2013-02-06 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
I remember that fursuit review. I'm not sure why it was taken down. That the head was lined in duct tape under the fur? I don't remember you coming forward on that review and explaining anything as it was taken down in a matter of hours.

I have some questions about this post. You said a contract was written up and that getting it worked on by someone else voided the contract, do you have a screencap of that? Any e-mail stating that?

Where is the conversation saying he agreed to send it back to you? I don't actually see any conversations between you to or any agreements to do anything; just links to pictures. Mind sharing?

[identity profile] sugiowolsky.livejournal.com 2013-02-06 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
only conversation i have is me on fa trying to reach her with no reply several times.....i can post pics if you would like as well?

[identity profile] familliaraver.livejournal.com 2013-02-06 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
"I canceled the commission, saying that I am done working on this, and you have done more then enough to void the contract. ( Taking it longer then agreed and having other people work on it)"

I agree. If he was unhappy he should have sent it back to you instead of wearing it more. Point is there was no contract to void.I hope in the future you do have a TOS.

The only thing I had remembered about the duct tape is people staunchly defending your use of it, that all the pro builders used duct tape under the fur. I'm glad to see that wasn't the case and that the product was indeed unfinished. I'm sure you've also learned to keep all conversations with customers in e-mails or some other permanently saved medium.

Clearly he does a good enough job of making himself look bad, beware well warranted!

[identity profile] shukivengeance.livejournal.com 2013-02-06 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Accepting money in exchange for providing a product or service IS a contract. A verbal one even if nothing was signed on paper. The important part is an agreement taking place.

Do agree that OP needs a ToS though.

Sorry! Its just how it is. :3

Don't care. Rules are rules. Permanent bans are permanent for a reason and honestly, this behavior on top of creating accounts to keep posting? Not doing you any favors in the first place.

No pity from the management.

Sugio, bit of advice. You've been banned, you are ban evading. Your comments will be hidden and removed as you are no longer (ever) welcome in this community.

Post your proof elsewhere, please stop bringing it here.

Oh my goodness I can't believe this is still going on.
And he hasn't changed a bit!
I'd say "avoiding like the plague" but the guy goes to most of Florida's few cons and large meetups.

Well that escalated quickly.

I somehow expected this guy to do what he did and make 'alts' to post here.

On the topics note, beware well warranted.

his behavior in the comments alone was enough to warrant a beware. good luck with the situation, op!

[identity profile] yume mugendai (from livejournal.com) 2013-02-06 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
His behavior is outrageous. He messaged me on the matter after I left a comment on his status on Facebook, then proceeded to block me when I told him he was wrong. He apparently thinks that breaking a contract isn't a reason for her to no longer work on it.

Also a derogatory "Fuck you -__-;; " on my last journal on Furaffinity (which he unfortunately removed before I thought to screencap it). This kid seriously has some attitude issues.

Holy cow! With those new alt/ban evasion accounts he created here, he doesn't seem to change a bit.

Woooow ... this guy has serious issues. Beware VERY warranted. Being a Florida Fur, also, I sincerely hope I never run into him at any meets or cons, once I'm able to start attending them. This person is trouble with a capital "T".
