UPDATE: Disastress has contacted me as of August 22nd citing a new job and life issues, and has shown remorse for being absent and unprofessional. She offered to finish the commission and refund 50% of the commission price. (She also offered simply a full refund, but I opted to have the commission finished) The timeline has been updated to include this.

EXPLAIN:
Commission was requested and confirmed at the end of February, accepts my payment March 7th after school midterms (delay pic #1), and after a week of delay citing a new video game (delay pic #2), she starts work. A week later, she messages me with the first WIP, then promptly says she was commissioned for a time-sensitive birthday piece (delay pic #3).

Another week passes and she sends me another WIP of two poses, lined and colored. She has also posted the birthday commission as referenced earlier.

After another month, I message her asking for an update, and why I've not been receiving any updates or WIPs. A week later, she messages me for the final time, citing life problems and apologizes for not logging on to update me. She sends me another WIP including the first two poses, and a sketch for the third pose, with extra details added to the side.

Over a month after not hearing any communication, I attempt to contact her to re-establish communication, once through FA message, and twice through email. No response has been seen and the FA message shows no sign of being read.

I sent a note too, she owes me (not as much but still) and whilst she's not viewed it in 18 days, who KNOWS how long she's actually flat not been on.

Come on, you are going to give a innocent artist a bad name all because she didn't draw your pictures with-in the first few days(or weeks), lay off, we all have a life, and we can't spend every second of it drawing artwork.

As an artist myself, we are busy, we have stuff in are life that are more important, like Jobs, or Families. I have commissions I still have to do, and they been on hold for at least 2 month, but they were kind enough to be patent.

I still have commission waiting that I bought, been over half a year sense then and I am still patent for them.

It's kinda fucked up that you buy from this artist a lot, and then turn around and give her a bad name all because she didn't messenge you or didn't draw you something sooner. Yes, I understand that she did not answer yet, and there might be a good reason why. life or family matters. I hope you understand all of this

Did you miss the part where the OP has yet to receive any response since MAY 17TH? That's over 2 months without a peep, and completely reasonable for a beware post.

He missed a load of things and made up several others.

I understand that artists indeed have lives, however you do have to admit that slow progress over 3 months then completely disappearing for almost 3 more after that is incredibly unreasonable. If they did get a job or something huge was going on, it doesn't sound unreasonable to at least keep in touch after a while.

Additionally, I've purchased from this artist once. Prior to this, I've never commissioned her before.
