First is Cashoos photo posted first on her regular name, second is her more recent name. Notice the date.




Second a post she replied to under the first name, again under the second name much more recently.

Asking for commissions recently, this time for a laptop. If you scroll through the new tumblr, there is plenty of art and freelance work that has been finished. No mention of prior owed work.


EXPLAIN: Simply put, recently noticed very familiar art and did a little digging. Unfortunatly it truly is Cashoo, and it's upsetting that she's running to a new name without explaining anything at all to other customers. New customers have no clue.

I was literally just going over her old tag here yesterday and shaking my head over it all and wondering if she'd ever show up again, and here she is... back to the same old, same old.

The frustrating thing is, so many people will learn/realize it's her and won't care because they want her art so badly. People NEVER stopped commissioning her back in the day, even with thousands upon thousands owed. I have a feeling nothing will change, with either her or a large number of people that commission her.

She has more that she has already completed prior to posting on DA/tumblr, so I'm sure she will be posting things when she can. Besides, not all of those people are going to want their art back - and for the ones that do, a lot of them already had progress [rough sketches, etc - you can see this in the Google Doc floating around out there] so even if she doesn't have access to those files anymore, I'm sure she can get the commissioners to feed that back to her so she can work off of them. Basically, it seems like a lot, but I think it's more manageable than what some people were previously assuming she owed.

I'm glad she's being forthcoming about exactly who she owes money to, and I really hope that it's followed up on and carried out but I guess it remains to be seen. One of these days I really would like to see people climb out of the spot they were in before and really make amends

It's been years we've heard from Cashoo, and it's good to know she's refunding people (albeit through Moneygram).

But even so, I'm not likely to commission her.

Edit: seeing how you can now send money through Moneygram online, it looks convenient.

It's likely she's just going to use Moneygram until she can work out the situation with Paypal and try to get her account back in working order, however that will work. Better than Western Union at least.

She has been in touch with me via email about resolving this.

In fairness to Cashoo: several people have already received their refunds through moneygram, and I'm sure most of her old queue will end up being refunds. There are going to be a lot of people who've moved on from this or that fandom, who are no longer using the character she sketched, who just plain don't want the art anymore, and etc etc (when you're talking about commissions from 3-5 years ago, it's bound to happen). So she is going to have to take on some new orders to buy the old orders out, but if she stays on top of it...it's not necessarily as unmanageable as it seems. This COULD be salvaged.

Here's hoping - I'm going to stay optimistic for her. We'll see.

I've also received an email from Cashoo, and I am currently on her list of people owed artwork. I've contacted her regarding receiving my piece, so we'll see what happens. For now, I am also trying to be optimistic.

Yes, it would be a very rare thing and it's probably going to be a very long process and take dedication, but I'd like to see her succeed at this.

Just wanted to post an update here (I see no reason to create a new entry or anything, so I hope this is okay) I received two sketch commissions from Cashoo in November.
