Artist Beware: Lolithetigger/Hypersensuality/crackdolls (updated: 25/08/2017)

WHO:  Lolithetigger @ instagram,hypersensuality @ twitter / instagram, crackdolls @ fa, Melanharley  @ tumblr.

WHERE: All contact was through telegram, however pictures, the livestream, were posted via instagram.

WHAT: A DHC fursuit. ($3200)

WHEN: All payments were made June 1st, and the fursuit was shipped June 11th, and the suit arrived on the 16th of June. On July 1st, I noticed the charge back for all 3 payment made. This is currently still on going.

EXPLAIN:

I decided to sell my DHC fursuit, and after having issues with other buyers, a friend of mine said they wanted to buy the suit. We agreed on $3200 for the price (http://i.imgur.com/HbCKRTI.png).  So, they paid in full on June 1st (http://i.imgur.com/zbXs2hw.png) . I was away at BLFC at this point, so the suit was not shipped until the 11th ( http://i.imgur.com/OhczSkk.png ). We both agreed that I would ship the suit out, and come back with the price, and they would pay for the shipping. (July 11th)  The suit arrived on June 16th (http://i.imgur.com/d7HuXhr.png, http://i.imgur.com/v7cO359.png), and everything seemed fine. Additionally, the suit was altered. (hair was added, and the feet were altered to make them fit a bigger size. Things were fine after this until I logged into my paypal on July 1st, and saw the -$3000 balance in my account. ( http://i.imgur.com/v57eozZ.png, http://i.imgur.com/oszYWcX.png) This was the first sign of trouble. I immediately contacted Lola. (http://i.imgur.com/LcoqXiO.png ). After this, Lola told me to respond to the claim, and explained they were on call with their bank, and paypal and were working to resolve this. I waited patiently until I finally heard back from them on wednesday, July 4th. (http://i.imgur.com/OJaLJzt.png, http://i.imgur.com/0nTvMBr.png.) They explained that they were going out with their brother and would call the bank later that evening, though I was unhappy with this I waited. (

I checked in each day as it was still not resolved. It had been well over 48 hours, and nothing had changed with my account, it was still -$3000. After contacting Lola about this, they said they would call the bank, and has since stopped replying to me. Last communication I have recieved was from 12:21 pm on Friday, July 7th. I called PayPal yesterday and I provided them with all the evidence and informed me they will have this case resolved within the next 24-72 hours. However, this morning (11th of july) I received an email basically saying that this is going to take up to 30 days for the investigation, and up to 75 days for a resolution to be made. (http://i.imgur.com/7uH6BkV.jpg) So I called paypal, and they confirmed this information, and said what I was told yesterday (about 24-72 hours) is incorrect. Thankfully they have temporarily released the $3200 usd so I can still work, and receive and send money to that account. However this situation will not be resolved until paypal, and the card company have reached a resolution. Even when I asked paypal, they said that there is nothing I can do, and nothing that Lola can do until the card company has reached and processed a conclusion.(if I am able to get in contact with her, that is.)(proof of calls http://i.imgur.com/zAHzBHY.jpg)

UPDATE: i have now managed to get in contact with Lola via email. She has told me that she stole her mom’s credit card and used it to pay for the suit. ( http://i.imgur.com/hmBnMiR.jpg & http://i.imgur.com/arekqPN.jpg)

UPDATE: The credit card company sided with her, this is now considered a stolen item. I am out $3200 + shipping costs + paypal fees for each chargeback (3). (emails from paypal: http://imgur.com/a/yczhO)

UPDATE: GOOD NEWS!! Someone provided me with info on how to reach @/hypersensuality's parents, and I was able to contact her mother!! She has told me that she will be sending back the suit. UPDATE: The suit has been returned, and is now for sale again. there have been damages but I am just happy to have it back. Please never work with this user. This situation was incredibly painful and has cost me more money than I am comfortable sharing.

Lost Contact: Caltroplay and Lika(aka Razzyglider)

1) [updated] Caltroplay

Commissioned them in July 2016 on weasyl. They disappeared from weasyl. I emailed them to reconnect October 2016, no response. I found their FA, saw they posted things all the way up until December 2016, then disappeared from there as well. I emailed again March 2017, as well as noted on both FA and weasyl. No response to anything. Emailed/noted once more in June, and again a few days ago, still nothing. I found their twitter and saw they posted in January, then disappeared until May saying they have been having life issues... which is fine, but I'd really like to reestablish communications with them, even if it's just for them to tell me they have to cancel/delay indefinitely. Lack of communication is the worst T_T

Since June 2016, commissioned on weasyl, but they stopped using it I guess. I asked if anyone knew how to find them elsewhere, and I was given their FA: Razzyglider. I have noted them there, but have not received a response. I saw they had a journal up saying they hit a rough patch, but I just want to reconnect. Same as above.

Paypal Advice; Invoices, PayPal/Me or other?

 I've seen a lot of posts flying around Tumblr lately warning artists to only use invoices when accepting commission payment. However, there seems to be no way of marking the invoice for services without an address, which makes my account look bad when there's several " unposted" items that are infact digital peices. I've tried googling for it but I've only found tips for much older versions of Paypal.

I had started using the Paypal/Me system and asking people to leave their address out of it, which worked but I saw in those same posts that Paypal where clamping down on the use of it for digital goods. When I take comms, I usually ask people to only leave a simple " code word" so I know it's their payment.

Is it all fear-mongering and bad advice?

How are other artists taking payments through paypal for digital media?

Advice: Missed detail on a commission

Hey there! I recently commissioned a plush artist and a significant detail of my commissioned character clearly did not make it through to the final product. In all references provided, my character had a collar / accessory. I checked the folder of reference images to make sure it was present, and it was, but when I was shown what I assumed to be two WIP images of the plush, the collar wasn't there. At the time I just figured it was a WIP and was super happy to see progress, only for the artist to post the plush as finished and to ask for the final shipping payment.

I'm not too sure what to do here, actually! I like the plush, but I'm not sure if in this case it's appropriate for me to ask to have the collar added, as I would like it done, or if I should let it slide altogether? If I ask to have the collar added, should I offer to pay an additional cost? Is there a polite way to go about this? I really do like the plush! I would just like my character's final detail added and would rather not create too much trouble.
