WHO: Alex Dachshund @ Furaffinity

WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/alexdachshund/

WHAT: It was agreed as a digital peice, A rave picture for a picture of one of my chars. It was so long ago I cant even remember what I wanted. :\

WHEN: About 7 months ago, here is my half: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5208869/  (NOTE: For pictures like these, I charge about 20$+)

PROOF: http://imageshack.us/f/18/alexdacca.png/

EXPLAIN:  .7 months ago, we agreed to a trade. And I finished mine, as seen above. He said He'd finish his. I kept reminding him after a month later, so I waited again... he was busy. So I was like "ok~ :3" And 7 months pass. he opens many journals stating "trades open" (I only found this one) So I reminded him again. he quickly shied out.

I dont know what to do here... X__X any help?

he offered to finish it after he finished some commsions, but he keeps taking commisions and getting backed up again.
And now because of incidents like this, I CANT do trades with strangers.

My policy is that we both do the sketches and then progress on at our own pace, or just a screenshot of what's happening to show that you're working on it. I've never had a "you finish your half first" policy, I wouldn't expect a person to do an entire piece for them before i even started on a sketch unless they said that's how they prefered to work. Each person I trade with is different and i tailor it to suit. Some people like seeing a WIP from me, other's like to be surprised.

Problem is that even with my policy in state it seems i still get screwed over a lot of the time. :S So i'm rewriting my rules for my trades before i open up for any more, unless i've traded with the person before or they have a good track record in the community for upholding their end of the deal. I'd say if it's just a person asking and you've never seen or spoken with them before asking them to do their half first is compeltely acceptable.

Ya, I've gotten to the point I don't even like doing trades anymore, yet I really want to do them! The only good one I've had so far was with mermade.

If you remember, mind letting me see those rules if you ever do them? I'd be nice to see what others think are good rules.
