Beware: LeeLee

WHO: LeeLee
http://leeleemoreau.livejournal.com/
http://www.furaffinity.net/user/leelee

WHERE: Furaffinity.net and Google Email.

WHAT: Digital Couple Badge Commission

WHEN: I commissioned/paid for the item in September 2011 on paypal.

PROOF: Well I commissioned her the badges and she said she would have them before FurFright. I was not going to the con so I gave her my address to ship them to. She told me they were finished and all was good. But this is all she put on FA: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6777753/

These were just the line art. When I asked for progress she ignored me. FINALLY she contacted me via email when I approached her in irritated fashion.

http://tinypic.com/r/3538rc5/5

She offered me and gave me some icons as makeup art. I thanked her, but she seemed to think it was a replacement for the commission. WHICH IT WAS NOT.

That was the last time I heard from her until today.

http://tinypic.com/r/28qwwtd/5

not sure what that even means. I am STILL waiting on my art.

Again?
C'mon, Leelee.... :c

[identity profile] hamburger.livejournal.com 2012-01-20 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
At the very least, I noticed that most of her entries have 'Resolved' tags. If only she could resolve this stuff without it coming up here first.

I gave up on my stuff ever being shipped, personally. It's been years.

[identity profile] ryunwoofie.livejournal.com 2012-01-20 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Unfortunately it seems bringing her here is the only way TO resolve an issue. (I've had to do so with her myself) I was hoping to give her the benefit of the doubt but watching her constantly take things in and leaving others behind is quite unsettling..

She really does have horrible management problems which she keeps saying she'll work on. You think by the amount of times she's used that line she'd do something about it.. unfortunate indeed.

[identity profile] spiritlobo.livejournal.com 2012-01-20 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh come on, Leelee...
How many times has she been on here?!

[identity profile] wyngaed.livejournal.com 2012-01-20 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
As much as I loved her style and how much I used to look up to her, I'm really glad I unwatched her so that I wouldn't be tempted to try and commission her. She keeps promising to be more professional, but she continues to do stuff like this... I'm so disappointed in her... :\

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. Good luck getting what you paid for!

[identity profile] leeleemoreau.livejournal.com 2012-02-04 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
I'm actually really sorry you feel that way :< but I understand and don't blame you. I won't make excuses or even try to speak my peace on AB anymore I'll just TRY and make good with everyone. You don't have to commission me but I felt bad since you do enjoy my work so I made you a little something. It's not much and I hope you like it. I don't want people to hate me. They don't have to watch me or commission me or anything I just don't want people to hate me is all.

I hope you like it - http://s1137.photobucket.com/albums/n518/BigBlueRaptorArts/?action=view¤t=monster.png
(I will draw him whenever you like. He's so adorablu)

[identity profile] conigliomannaro.livejournal.com 2012-01-20 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I think the last one was a misunderstanding of sorts. She promised she'd give it to your friend, and when you said you want the digital art she assumed you meant that you don't care for the physical copies, and maybe she means to scan it in and send it or something.

I don't know the backstory, and I don't wanna take sides, but she seemed kind of apologetic, so I hope it was all just a misunderstanding and she's like scanning it right now to send it soon.

[identity profile] magusmanx.livejournal.com 2012-01-20 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
OT; but your icon is incredibly cute. Axel bunny looks super adorable.

[identity profile] conigliomannaro.livejournal.com 2012-01-20 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you, it's from Hyouta (http://hyouta.tumblr.com/) on Tumblr. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and she was nice enough to give me permission to use it :)

[identity profile] magusmanx.livejournal.com 2012-01-20 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
That was nice of her! It reminds me that I always wondered what Sea salt icecream tasted like XD

[identity profile] genkigami.livejournal.com 2012-01-20 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh boy, Leelee again. Not surprised.

Though I will say the aggressive responses in screencap 2 and the kinda seethey undertones in this post from you don't reflect well on you either. I get that you're frustrated and you want something for your money after all this time, but snapping at the artist is not the best way to go.

[identity profile] ryunwoofie.livejournal.com 2012-01-20 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
She did the SAME thing with me when we were doing a trade. She did some 'I'm sorry art' and assumed that I wanted nothing else. I'm SHOCKED that she'd even try to pull that again.. Leelee.. it didn't work once WHY would you do it again....

[identity profile] xylophagous.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
I think she does it for everyone haha that's what she did MULTIPLE times for Protocollie. It was kind of nuts, just do the requested art not ten thousand little gifts.

[identity profile] ryunwoofie.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
I can't even comprehend someone's thought process to even remotely think that's OK without talking to the customer first.. Yeah you don't like the art you did, it's old, whatever. TELL THE CUSTOMER FIRST. WORK SOMETHING OUT. If the customer likes it/still want's it DO IT. You don't have to post it to your gallery, it's not the end of the world.. Don't assume... my god..

I wanted to have faith in her but that's all gone now....

[identity profile] teahound.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
OT but can I ask where you got your icon? Dying from cute. ;;

[identity profile] p3nsive.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Their icon was drawn by Bansei (LJ). c:

...again? I was hoping I'd have seen the last of bewares on her after she kept promising she'd work on things.

[identity profile] seethecee.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
At least she finished the art today: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7252408

[identity profile] volmise.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Wait. That's just a flat color image. If she had the linework done forever ago, and all she needed to do was slap flat colors and text on it, why'd it take her so long?

I'm honestly not understanding why this was such a difficult thing for her to follow through with. It looked really easy to do!

[identity profile] teahound.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 08:14 am (UTC)(link)
Well according to LeeLee: "I was actually hating it. Thats the reason it took so long TBH I didn't feel I drew you two right"

But then... TELL the person?

[identity profile] otherscape.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Embarrassment maybe? But then you'd think that a little embarrassment is a whole lot better than getting a beware. IDK :/

[identity profile] otherscape.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Again? Hasn't she learned by now to get her stuff in order before taking on more commissions? I guess not. And she's open for more commissions. Of course.

Also, do you have a screen shot of when she offered gifts to you?

[identity profile] dangercrow.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
i think its just common sense that if an artist has this much difficulty getting finished work to their paying customers (behavior that is well documented and long lasting) then perhaps they should reconsider taking commissions

[identity profile] mikaufoxy.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
Oh jeez. Again? D:

[identity profile] eenyuwolf.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
I've been waiting a long time for a badge to be mailed to me from her. Best of luck :/

[identity profile] cyiakanami.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
Someone shouldn't have to hold anyone's arm behind their back to get them to accomplish something. I wish there was a thing set on FA where users could actually leave credited reviews on artist's pages or something. Possibly reviewed by mods. Just something that gives artists a bigger red flag to caution commissioners >_

[identity profile] otherscape.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
That's a good idea in theory, but can you imagine the abuse and grudge wank it would cause? Plus the mods would be in over their heads just trying to mod the thing.

[identity profile] shukivengeance.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
Agreeing with otherscape, it's a nice idea but very abuseable.

[identity profile] cyiakanami.livejournal.com 2012-01-21 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Sadly I do agree. I can dream huh? lolol

[identity profile] skanrashke.livejournal.com 2012-01-22 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I think this is a great idea, however the problem therein is that since its a gallery-type website instead of a buying/auction website, there's no way to check if anyone bought anything, and every artist has a few folks who just have it in for them, so it would be unfair to hard working honest artists who may have one creepy angry stalker who made a bunch of alt accounts to give them a bad rating.

Alternately, the artist could 'approve' people to rate them based on whose bought stuff from them, but then they could withhold that ability from 'trouble' customers(Read; Unhappy customers).

Its a great idea don't get me wrong, its just too easily abused. And way more work for the few mods they do have.

[identity profile] cyiakanami.livejournal.com 2012-01-23 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I do agree with that. While in theory it be nice, in reality it be just a bad idea all around. I came across a credited artist group that if someone refers you to them they add you as credited but the group didn't seem to be either very popular or not active anymore.

Edit; I suck at spelling

[personal profile] ocelotish 2012-01-23 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
The way around that would be approving at the start/acceptance of commission, not end of commission.

I imagine it might get spammed with friends though.

[identity profile] timelapsedecay.livejournal.com 2012-01-23 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Gosh, her history is so bad.
If she cannot handle commissions, she should not be taking them.
The number of people she's treated poorly is appalling.
I'm sorry you're having trouble with her and I hope it's smooth sailing to the end of your business with her (Looks like she's posted flats?)

[identity profile] leeleemoreau.livejournal.com 2012-02-04 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
This was actually resolved guys c:
I met her at Furbowl in Delaware and it's good now.

[identity profile] hamburger.livejournal.com 2012-02-04 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
She needs to come here and tell us that.

[identity profile] sigilgoat.livejournal.com 2012-02-04 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Argh, sorry I doubleposted!

[identity profile] sigilgoat.livejournal.com 2012-02-04 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
We'll need a proof of refund or that she got her art in order to mark it resolved, preferably from the OP

[identity profile] leeleemoreau.livejournal.com 2012-02-04 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
NP I messaged her on FA
LOL I didn't even know she posted here until a friend of mine linked me here. She posted here BEFORE I got to meet her at the bowl. DERP. But yep. UGH oh well. Least it's better now and I'm working at fixing everything!

[identity profile] sigilgoat.livejournal.com 2012-02-04 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I see you've updated this entry, would you like us to mark it as resolved?
