Beware: Stellary/Absinthe/Inky

WHO: Stellary/Absinthe aka Inky/Nancy/Stellary on Chatlands

WHERE: main base: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/absinthe, commission transactions took place on TheTotemLands (prior to closing) and on Serenity Isles

WHAT: 2 "poses" from TTL ($8 each [edit, my email says $6 was sent for the one pose which was completed, but I believe the other two were considered $8 as the ref was $20, if I remember correctly]) and 3 poses on Serenity ($13) each; one owed TTL pose completed

WHEN: Commission began around June 2009

Recent PM on wolfhome asking for information:

http://screencast.com/t/18kgPpRfLoQ2 (showing it was read, the pawprint goes from yellow to white when a message has been read)

Unfortunately I have no paypal screenshots of the transaction as the account I used to pay has since been closed, however I would assume that her replying she had received payment should be enough proof on my end.

EXPLAIN:
Back in 2009 I commissioned Inky for a refsheet of my character, however I changed it from a ref to 2 chat poses (and got a third pose later which was completed) and told her to keep the extra (as seen in first email) [also this proof is lost as TTL has been closed and I never thought to get screenshots of these PMs].  This art was never completed and I lost contact with her.  In 2011 she posted a topic to sell poses again on the chat SerenityIsles and I contacted her then about the owed art and was interested in getting some new commissions.  One of the owed poses was completed and that was all.  Later in the year I attempted to contact her as she had posted another topic selling custom chat poses.  At this point she said she would probably no longer do poses but could instead offer me another type of art in place of these poses.  Unfortunately, life got the best of me and I was unable to reply for a few more months, this is my fault completely and not a lack of communication on her part.  However, I emailed her again almost two weeks ago without response.  A few days after sending the most recent email I forwarded it again to her.  Tonight (4/24) I tried to send her a private message on another chatlands forum she was taking commissions on.  She has read the message but has yet to respond.

EDIT:
Finally got a response from her.  I sent her a second PM on the forum she is actively making poses on and got a response.

For the record here is the previously mentioned email about being "banned":
http://www.screencast.com/t/sMfKfRKU

I will accept blame for the email not being sent immediately.  I had written it up and attempted to send it from my school wifi on my phone but must have left the wifi zone and caused it to wait in my outbox until I was back home and using stable wifi.  The choice to keep her from selling on Serenity was not only my choice, as stated in my replies, but the choice of several team members giving their input and opinions on the matter.  She had taken not only my money but the money of other users on Serenity and they were, luckily, refunded.

And I managed to dig out the transaction in my paypal history:

And her topic on the Wolfhome forums actively selling poses:

I was honestly shocked that she was treating me so unprofessionally because of a grudge about a supposed ban on her account on the chat I manage.  Whether I had banned her or not I would hope that she would be able to treat me respectably and professionally as this is a business transaction between two people, when money is involved there should be no room for grudges.

Will keep this updated as it all unfolds!

She's just a barrel full of excuses isn't she. 2009 - 2012 is a long time. How she couldn't have, or rather didn't, complete your commissions by now is way beyond me. I feel bad if I take two-three weeks on a commission. I couldn't imagine the guilt I'd feel for taking roughly 3 years to complete someone's commission.

And yet on her FA she uploaded a personal sketch a day ago. Sometimes I wish there were ways to permanently ban people from taking commissions ever again. I know it's impossible, but it's a nice thing to hope for. Sigh

I mean I get wanting to do personal art for yourself, but when you have that many commissions, and you keep taking more, those become first priority until you get a majority of those done. THEN you can take a tiny break and doodle for yourself here and there.

Most people hope she'll learn eventually, but honestly, I doubt it. It seems like she wants to stay like this and doesn't give a single fuq what anyone thinks and doesn't care how many times she gets posted here. Or at least that's what her actions are telling me. I've never come across anyone like her in all my time in the art world or in general.

She has made more than just one personal piece. I noticed her creating gift art, premades, committing to more events and creating personal art. I touched upon the subject with her when I got the chance and she cancelled my commission the next day, but left all other commissions open. She cancelled one event and informed me she wouldn't be producing much art for the other. The fact she cancelled mine so promptly and left the others as active was what got to me as a customer.

I was pretty saddened if I am honest, I was worried about my money but willing to wait a little while longer for my commission. I'm a bit frustrated for pumpkin314 though because I got a refund before she did and has been waiting a long time :/.

Oh darn. :C
I commissioned her once a few years back, on wh of course, and she finished my pose relatively fast and I didn't have any problems. I guess I was just one of the lucky ones. Though I would never go back and commissioner her again that's for sure.

Well the refund didn't actually come from her paypal. But everything you have brought up e.g. the psych colours and premades and personal stuff concerned me when I saw "Not started" on all her commissions. She whispered me about an unrelated issue and I brought up the amount of commitment she has. She was more than happy to be colouring psychs to sell, and kept discussing that which really concerned me. Don't get me wrong as a commission artist myself I know spreading time around is hard but I see psychs as a bottom of the pile type thing compared to what else she had running. And my concerns were raised to me by several people aswell. Usually I give artists a month+ for updates but on this occassion I chose to act based on previous observations.

After I whispered her is when she cancelled her bag event and then the day after cancelled just my commission. I think because I talked to her before the 60 days is probably why. I do feel bad for you and Dark.
