If you've had a great commission experience, either as an artist or a customer, please comment here and spread the word. It doesn't have to be a full-on story, though you're welcome to type one! All we need are a few lines on why this person was so great to work with. You can also recommend companies, such as printers or fursuit-making teams, as long as it's relevant!

4. My boyfriend and I both commissioned a custom affirmation badge from her at Biggest Little Furcon this year. Paid there, emailed when I got home. Within a few days she had an account for me and my boyfriend with her super-slick commission system. So friendly (in person and online!), easy to work with, and prompt. 4. Details: I'd noticed on Mumble's tumblr that they're interested in sweet lolita and I had a pair of socks that I knew wouldn't fit me so I asked if they wanted to trade them for a background because they have adorable stuff and I'd been thinking of getting one from them for a while. Their turnaround was super fast and they ended up drawing a full-body of Casimir too and we called shipping cost more than covered.

3. I... can't quite remember when I sent the downpayment to secure my slot, but as soon as I sent a follow up payment they had a RIDICULOUSLY fast turn around. They even finished it before I sent them the final payment.
4. I love the tail so much, it's so fluid and bouncy and a lot lighter than I expected! (I was worried I'd end up having to pack it in a whole separate bag because it's huge, but it compresses really well and weighs like NOTHING.)

4. Details: BattleFerrets was offering a commission in exchange for buying their partner the game Starbound on Steam. I offered, as I had some spare money at the time, and sent the game over. I sent my commission details (one of my male characters) and very soon had the art! I can't find my commission detail emails, so it may have been mostly via notes or Tumblr, but turn-around time was more than acceptable. The commission was for my character, Adian, who I had only really previously sketched and had started putting together his avatar in Second Life. I love how he was portrayed. (Semi-NSFW? I sent my payment, and the description, and, again, very soon had a beautiful piece of art with a character who I need to get to writing. I always like to see artists renditions of unicorn/wolf mixes, and I was super happy with the results here. 3. start of June to end of June, from discussion to me receiving the box
4. I had been thinking of getting some cherry blossoms and honduran bats drawn together, traditional or so, asked around facebook for some who could do it but didn't find something id fancy, then this person posts new boxes on their FA and i see them on my inbox, having watched them months prior cause of cool tiger box.
Send them a note asking if it would be possible to have certain sized box with illustration of honduran bats, they showed me their box size options and while later contacted me with the done sketch, after which i proceeded to pay after seeing it, week--2 weeks later i get pictures of the painted box, and it took just few days to ship!
Awesome box, great price and fast and good communication ^^

4. This artist had offered headshots of dinosaur characters in the past but when I first followed them they were closed. They recently opened for more slots and was excited to grab one, and needless to say I was glad that I did. They were very professional in their notes and were a pleasure to work with, would highly recommend as they have good customer service and some great stuff. :)

3. Commissioned him about a month ago, got the art in the mail last week.
4. He was just easy to work with. I wanted a portrait of my pony changeling OC, which is a bit of a tricky character to do in real media, as she's all black. It was a pay-what-you-want commission, and I sent $35 and asked for an inked sketch, but he decided to go ahead and color it, which really delighted me! (I don't think that's usual or expected, we've done a lot of business both ways over the years, so I suspect it was a small extra for a return customer.) But anyhow, he's super easy to deal with, does lovely work, and is also willing to work with weird fetishes if you're into that, though my piece was perfectly vanilla and G-rated. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16926902/

4. Diaszoom is responsible for those adorable happy flailing icons you might've seen on Furaffinity.
I found their commission journal and wanted to know when they would re open and they even suggested reminding me when they did. So I snagged two for me and my partner.
I was amazed at their communication, always showing WIPs, even color swatches for approval. Our characters are not simple, mine has scales and his has lots of spots but nevertheless Diaszoom did not simplify or change the designs at all and really worked super hard to get all the details right. All the time being super polite and nice despite not being native speakers.
When they completed the icons it wasn't just the one, but a whole bunch with different background colors to chose from! I recommend them to everyone because it was a wonderful experience.

This commission was for a journal doll and I was impressed that she was able to do my character so accurately in pixels. 4.Kittiara had a pre AC special on her blue pencil sketches, I couldn’t pass up the chance to nab one. These were artistic freedom, but with a prompt or mood suggestion. She emailed me back saying she hope to update me soon. A little over a month later the art was in my email inbox. I couldn’t be happier, with the result! She really captured the prompt and character well! Very professional and nice!
