[identity profile] hitchhyena.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] artists_beware
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do this, but I didn't see anything that says otherwise. My post a few days ago involved two artists who I felt had done me wrong in taking my money, and leaving me with empty hands. This post is intended to clear things up for both artists.

Rackun & Mark Wulfgar

First of all, I had my facts very mistaken with both of them. Having talked to both of them, I see the my error, they're both room mates. It makes sence as I was in a living situation where someone els was in the same place as me. after talking to both Mark, and Rackun, we came to an arrangement that I could live with. When thngs clear up a little more, I want to try and keep better contact with Rackun, if he'll allow me too.

The big part of the problme was on my end, it was all a lack of communications, and me not knowing what was going on in their lives, not knowing what has happend in recent months.

Alabaster
He got in contact with me just today, and explained to me what had happend. It was also a lack of communications between him and I, and ontop of that, he explained to me that he was rather new to taking commissions, hence not knowing how to take them in a proper mannor. All in all it is very understandable, considering how easy fur affinity has made it for people to find artists, contact them and get commissions. Because of this amazing ease of getting commissions, they can also pile up very quickly, and a person can very easly loose track of them.

I'm not going to sit here and say that it's alright that I was left in the dark for such an extended period of time, no. But to a point it is understandable that they have things that come before commissions. Art is a hobby.  it's a hobby for thoes who like to get commissions, and a hobby for thoes who can draw. Some make their living from art, and it is a very respectable living to make, as they are producing something completely unique, and speical.

All in all, my previous post got theirs, and other peoples attention. Both artists have gotten in contact with me, and have made things up with me, and I have tried the best I can to make up with them. Posting here was a little on the drastic side, but I felt that if they had honestly just taken my money and ran with it, that the posts seen here would prevent other people from giving them their hard earned money, just so they can take it and run. No, that is not the case. They are both honest people, and have come to me, to make things right.

I am sorry for my lack of communications to both Alabaster and Rackun, and I am very thankful that they both were very honest with me, and contacted me to make things right. That shows their true character.

Follow ups are rather smiled upon, because it lets us know how the artists in question handle such things. Glad to see everything worked out for you.

I think it was decent of you to write this follow up, it not only shows the true character of Alabaster and Rackun; but your true character as well. *smiles*

I'm glad things are cool now dude. I can't really express how sorry I was and irresponsible I was as well. Nevertheless, we settled things like men and we're both happy. : )

I also wanna make my apology public on account of the fact I want everyone to know I'm not some ripoff artist. : \

I haven't really been doing commissions for even a year, so I was rather unorganized when I started out. Still, later on I should have retraced my steps and dug up old commissions and redid them. But, as time went on, I started getting more and more and soon enough I was up to my eyeballs in money, but unfinished art pieces.

It was hard to say no, being how both me and my family needed the money very, very badly since I have no parents or grandparents--I was only taking care of my younger brother.

But today, I'm much more organized and I take extra precautions to ensure that commissions are finished in a timely manner. There are a few commissions lingering in the past, such as ones for Rykan, Fox Amoore, and wolfpac. These and a few others will be finished in a moment's time, as will the AC commissions (most of which I'll be mailing out tomorrow and Thursday)

Once again, I'm glad everything turned out alright. I'm so sorry for before, but hopefully my actions will prove my worth to you, and everyone else.

: )

I'm glad everything has worked out for you, but I take slight issue with this:

"Art is a hobby. it's a hobby for thoes who like to get commissions, and a hobby for thoes who can draw."

Art *can* be a hobby, but if you're taking commissions, if you're getting paid for art, then it is no longer a hobby, it's a job. People do have obligations.
