I really hate to do this, and I'm really nervous doing so, but I feel it must be done to get what I am owed. :/
I am not angry at the artist, I am just concerned and worried.
I am posting this because I have received little to no updates about her half of our trade, and I have seen no WIPs.

WHO: Sciggles

WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sciggles

WHAT: A fullcolored fullbody NSFW pinup in exchange for Tamagotchis.

WHEN: The trade was accepted on August 18th, 2011.

PROOF: The journal that she had made stating she wanted Tamagotchis in exchange for art has since been deleted but I do have the notes. I cannot remember, as the journal had been deleted, but I think she had told me to note her the info, so I did, as shown below:

Me contacting her and her response: http://oi39.tinypic.com/14jujxh.jpg (August 18th)
Me giving her my and my boyfriend's refs: http://oi42.tinypic.com/658spl.jpg (August 18th)

EXPLAIN: Sciggles made a journal one evening back in August saying she felt nostalgic and felt like collecting virtual pets again. She said she, in particular, wanted the original Tamagotchis or any knock-offs of them, and that she would be willing to draw art for those that sent her any.

I myself have a rather large collection of digital keychain virtual pets like Tamagotchis and Giga Pets, so I was more than happy to volunteer. I had a few that I wouldn't have mind sending since a few of them no longer worked (but she said that was fine if I sent those anyway). So I took some photos of what I had, showed them to her, and she picked out the ones she liked and wanted.

I sent her these notes regarding what I wanted:

Me contacting her and her response: http://oi39.tinypic.com/14jujxh.jpg (August 18th)
Me giving her my and my boyfriend's refs: http://oi42.tinypic.com/658spl.jpg (August 18th)

At the time, I was dating ChristianWolf on FurAffinity, and I wanted an adult picture of his fursona and mine doing something very NSFW, haha. I wasn't too picky, as long as I got what I was owed. Sciggles confirmed it was alright with her so I shipped the Tamas as soon as I could.

Me informing her I had shipped the Tamagotchis: http://oi44.tinypic.com/208i2jb.jpg (August 23rd)
Sciggles informing me that they arrived safely: http://oi43.tinypic.com/3582cud.jpg (August 30th)

After a while, some time had passed.

I decided to politely poke her for an update: http://oi41.tinypic.com/15q3jph.jpg (October 31st)
She responded that she had a lot on her plate, and I was cool with it and thanked her for the update.

Around December, my boyfriend and I broke up, so I sent her a note to say that we're no longer together and I didn't want the pic of us anymore, but to do something else instead of the two-character pic I wanted originally.

Note here: http://oi41.tinypic.com/14ncj80.jpg (December 23rd)

Some more time passed. I went to her profile and saw this journal where she said she is thinking about opening for more commissions:

Journal: http://oi40.tinypic.com/2rgko0n.jpg (February 1st)

I felt really frustrated that I saw that she was going to open for more commissions when she hasn't finished my drawing, so I sent her an e-mail since it said now on her profile to e-mail her about art:

E-mail: http://oi41.tinypic.com/dzckcy.jpg (February 3rd)
The e-mail has NOT been responded to.

After a few days I leave a shout on her userpage reminding her that I had indeed e-mailed her:

Shout: http://oi44.tinypic.com/2j0k02a.jpg (February 10th)

EDIT: She left a shout on my page: http://oi39.tinypic.com/eq8qdd.jpg

I am just really unsure what to do at this point.
She has not replied to my last e-mail, BUT she has certainly been active on her FA account, posting journals, submissions, and posting LiveStreaming notices.

I am not mad at her at all, just frustrated and a bit worried. I have seen NO WIPS at all of what she promised me, so that leads me to believe that she hasn't even started it yet.

EDIT 2/12: She sent me this e-mail:
http://oi40.tinypic.com/2h2qips.jpg
My reply:
http://oi42.tinypic.com/25rf1o4.jpg
I replied, and she sent me this nasty e-mail afterwards:
http://oi41.tinypic.com/jr5mio.jpg
My reply:
http://oi40.tinypic.com/3161aas.jpg

EDIT 2: She's going to mail them tomorrow. Will update once I receive them.

EDIT 2/16: I have received the Tamagotchis in the mail. They arrived safely and all of them are there.
I consider the matter resolved.

I hope I don't come off as pestering her for updates...I am just really concerned since she has not really contacted me at all about this. She has NOT been rude to me, she's been polite through the entire thing and I think she's not the type to scam people, but I'm just left in the dark about what I'm owed. :( I hope she sees this and fixes the problem.

I don't think you were pestering at all, given the amount of time that has lapsed. There's nothing wrong with wanting to stay informed! I really hope she works out your half of the trade! Best wishes!

idk if you have noticed but she has left you a shout on your page recently. Maybe try asking an estimated completion date through anohter shout :)

Not trying to white-knight Sciggles, but since she's been apparently given an admin position on FA (she is Dragoneer's girlfriend and I've been keeping up with the news on other sites), she has been busy using her admin hat (read: banning certain types of Sonic art) and probably has been overwhelmed with notes, shouts, etc.

Also, her FA page states on top in red, bold and underline:
"DO NOT SEND ME NOTES ABOUT ART AS THEY GET FLOODED QUITE QUICKLY BY ADMIN NOTES AND YOURS MAY GET LOST, IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION REGARDING ART PLEASE EMAIL ME"

Just keep reminding her (via e-mail) about it and she'll do it. (I have never commissioned her, so this is just a suggestion to you and not a prediction of what she will do.)

Not trying to be argumentative, but being an admin is no excuse not to fulfill trades or commissions. If anything it should be more of an incentive to set a good example to others who use the site. :)

Inclined to agree with this.

To be fair, even though being an admin on FA is undoubtedly a huge workload, it's still a volunteer position that shouldn't trump actual work / professional communication. She has an obligation to her customers (or whoever she's entered into transactions with), regardless of what else she wants to do with her free time.

I've adminned online before, as well, and I could only imagine how my RL bosses would've responded to "SORRY DIDN'T GET YOUR EMAIL ABOUT WORK I HAD TOO MANY TO READ FROM MY PLAYERS."

There's a bit of a difference between saying "Oh, it's ok because of x" and just giving info saying "She's been busy because of x".

I really don't think tora meant to excuse the artist and I didn't get that impression from the comment. But for the commissioner, it's a good thing to know that there's stuff going on and they're gonna end up having to try harder to get an answer from the artist, unfortunately.

She took the position full knowing the work that comes with it. Taking this position does not excuse her from Commissions she agreed too, especially ones that were already waiting before she chose to take on the extra work.

If she's so busy she doesn't have the time to even send a 5 minute email to the people she owes Art too, then she should not be taking a position of Admin, or find a way to refund waiting commissioners.

I realize this is a trade of sorts, but it is still a commission for Art and she received the payment for it half a year ago.

Hmmmm. Well, on the one hand I understand that admin responsibility can keep people pretty busy, buuuut.... I'm going to have to go with what Chronidu and the others have said.

Besides that, Sciggles was only instated as an admin- what? About a month ago? What the hell was she doing between August and January? The notes say she was overwhelmed because she was busy, which is understandable, but then February 1st she was thinking of opening up for more commissions.

That's really no excuse for ignoring a customer from months ago. I highly doubt the whole drama bomb about her banning sonic related images is really relevant to this either, so it really has no place being brought up.

The last communication (Feb 3) was an email, not a note. I think that the Dec 23 note would have been before she became admin, but I don't know for certain.

While I understand being an admin is hard work, the OP has done everything right as far as I can tell. She's had plenty of time to argue about the Sonic art, she should have responded to the email in that time period. In addition, she's sold an auction commission at the beginning of this month in January, and is again discussing taking commissions.

Hasnt sciggles bailed out of commissions and iron artists before? (even when out of adminship positiion?)

I know, not supposed to get off track here, but the main big stink was not the banning of Sonic porn. She wanted to dictate how all, even clean Sonic art was drawn. Sciggles didn't want the normal 'chibi' style Sonic characters drawn any longer. She had realized her mistake though and only wants the adult stuff modified, which is fine. To me chibi styled things in porn do resemble cub. If she had only gone about it that way first, nobody would have fussed. It was just a whole lot of anger from the artists who draw clean stuff only.

I hope you can get your art now, Alex and everyone else she owes art too...needs to be notified. I don't stalk profiles of those I commission. I'm sure she'll get the hang of juggling admin and commissions soon enough.

Didn't she do the iron artist? I don't remember seeing her finishing it...
Same with Dragoneer, he took 100 commissions like.. way over a year ago and I don't think I saw him go past 20? I could be wrong though, I just hope people get what they paid for...

IIRC Dragoneer DID refund those who ended up getting his iron artist slots.

A lot of people who commissioned sciggles have not.

I'm going to freeze this because off-topic FA stuff like this isn't what we're here for. Please leave it out of AB.

She's owed me a trade for over 2 years I think now. X: She sent me up to inks with it and then promised a couple times to finish it and never did.

Also to the admins here: I don't know if my comment was on topic, but it relates to her punctuality and the fact she needs to learn to be a bit more organized when taking on new things.

We're going to have to agree to disagree, because in my opinion commissions work both ways - both people are equally responsible for communication, not just one way or the other. The artist needs to be making an effort to communicate, even if their busy. It only takes a few seconds to respond to a note, or email :)

Though I do understand that OP's notes are probably getting lost in a sea of Admin notes.

This "she doesn't have time to do x, y and z" thing doesn't hold any water because she's spending her time drawing guidelines on how to skirt around the no-cub-porn rule on the forums, haha.

EDIT: My apologies, Kayla-La, I only saw your post below mine after I submitted this one.
