Need reccommendation

I have absolutely horrid luck with artists. Over 2/3 of artists I commission either run off with my money or take way longer than stated and don't respond to my emails. The folks who I /want/ to commission never respond to my serious inquiries or once I've sent the description they vanish altogether, even for something simple. It's really starting to piss me off as it is a recurring theme.

Right now I'm looking for artists who draw expressive (whether it be cartoony or semi-realistic) humans well (not in anime style!). Can anyone recommend anyone that will actually respond to emails and not ditch me?

I'm starting to think there's a "Don't let Thornwolf commission you" list out there. I'm really not hard to work with as generally if I commission someone its based on their style and their imagination and I try to commission something that highlights what they would draw normally, for example if someone draws canines really well I'm not going to ask them to draw a cat, or if they really like drawing expressions I'd ask for something expressive.

Good customer service really shouldn't be a rare thing but unfortunately it seems to be that way.

Are blatant self-testimonials allowed? I've never bailed on a commission, have people who can vouch for me, charge competitively and work very quickly (turnaround within a week for simple pics, not too much longer for complex ones). And I've got enough visibility that if I pulled any sort of scam i wouldn't be able to just disappear.

thanks so much! i have a deviantart but i pretty much only use it to keep track of other people, i have been uploading new works there fairly often these days though. lj is generally the first place i update with new pictures.

Well there's me: http://subversive-imaginati.storm-artists.net/ I'm studying how to realistically paint human right now. I already draw them in no less than three different styles including comic.

If you're looking for a tip top realism artist though I reccommend Kallen, she's dealing with power outages right now so you might want to wait a bit for her to be regularly around but she's an incredible artist.

klar.deviantart.com is one of my favorites. I think she might be closed for commissions at the moment, but you should definitely give ehr a look for when she starts again.
