EXPLAIN: This has been going on for almost half a decade, so forgive me for the lack of screenshots, I was unaware of A_B until probably last year.
Back in '08, she posted a thread on the Wolfhome forums offering a traditional full-colored commission. She either deleted the thread since or posted it under a different name, because I can't seem to find it now. It's been a long time, so I have no specifics, but ever since she either forgets about my commission, or has some reason why she can't complete it. While taking on a never-ending amount of new commissions(here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3917606/ and basically every other journal she has up, offering free art as well! There are literally too many to link) or makes a new premade set. Along with taking on new commissions despite mine being almost 5 years overdue, she has a long, unprofessional journal basically freaking out and lashing out at the community for not giving her money because of her situation here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3897246/

She frequently has "issues" that cause her to disappear, not have internet access, her computer breaks, or she has no money to refund anybody, so I had given up for the longest time about getting anything from her. I have given her my commission information over and over, and have bugged her several different times but I have had no success in even getting a sketch at this point, despite being listed as my commission being "35% done" on her journal tag, before she apparently had her computer stolen(as I stated before, FREQUENT issues) and therefore had no one's art. At this point, I have heard nothing from her for 7 months(since that last note linked up there ^) and instead of noting me(or any other commissioners, I'm assuming) directly, she posts a journal asking commissioners to send her commission info.

Galagya has been pleasant in any contact I've had with her, but this runaround and the wait has been beyond infuriating. I would just like a refund at this point, but I don't expect to get either the art or the refund at this point.

Just a picture of my fursona, no bg, just a full-color full body commission. There is pretty much no excuse for not having it; my character is obnoxiously simple, I gave her free reign artistically, there's no bg, and she's had 5 years to do it. :S

Yeah, agreed. I'm actually very patient; I don't mind a long wait if someone is art blocked or otherwise unable to do commissions. 5 years is past even my limits, though. :/

oh, wow, I am ...quite sure I got a commission from her..oh yearrrrs go (at least 6?), she was still doing only traditional at the time, it was fast turnaround and they even sent us the originals.

Sad to see them backslide, also, 5 years it really really too long to wait, you must have the patience of a saint, I would probably just cut my losses, send a note asking for a refund (though they probably wont reply) and leave it at that.

The problem is that for the longest time, she specifically stated that she was not offering refunds. And then she backtracked and refunded people-- but only in Wolfhome's currency, which is basically useless to me. I have actually asked for a refund recently, but I haven't heard back from her yet. However, she is constantly making journals about how she has no money, so I doubt I will ever see a dime. :/

Ooh... danger, Will Robinson, danger! Thank you for mentioning her 'no refunds' policy; does she still have that in place? And what's Wolfhome currency? I assume she accepts payment in real money; it was just refunds that were in what appear to me to be site tokens?

I'm not sure if she still has a "no refund" policy anymore, but more of a "no money to refund people with" policy. Wolfhome's currency is deltas, and they are only useable on the website to pay for a subscription to the chat. Deltas are worth 50c real money for 1 delta.
Some people have paid with deltas, and some people have paid with real money. I know of at least one person who paid with real money and got a delta refund, but I am not sure if this was acceptable to the person or not.
Of course, she can't refund people with deltas anymore because she was banned for taking a bunch of commissions and never finishing them, thus scamming basically the whole community, and also selling deltas she didn't actually have.

All I can find, which is old information from the WolfHome forums, is a statement for certain commissions would be refunded if work was not completed after a month. As according to her TOS. Unfortunately, I see nothing like that stated in her TOS on the forums. So, I am not sure this is up to date, as she has been banned.

Yeah, I don't see a TOS on her FA (which is linked up top in the journal entry) but I do remember her saying she would refund people if the commission wasn't done in a month... which I guess excludes me. :P

That's also an old email, her new email(apparently) is in the most recent journal on her FA.

In my entirety of taking commissions, I have forgotten a person ONCE and that wait time was all of a week until they reminded me, to which I immediately completed theirs and gave them another picture as an apology for my own error.

The fact that she KNOWS she owes it you, regardless of having forgotten she was reminded, and that she still hasn't put it as top priority is just... alien to me.

She doesn't sound like a bad person, she just sounds like an utter flake and shouldn't be taking commissions.

Sometimes I wish she could/would get her act together because I enjoy her art and would like to commission her again, but with all the experiences I've had with her, I wouldn't commission her again even if someone else paid for it. :/

It's such a shame. I always liked her art but I never knew she acted like this about commissions. Sadly, I've seen things like this trending on the Wolfhome forums and it makes me uncomfortable to commission people from there.

I'm not sure I would say commissioning people from WH is a bad idea, but you definitely need to do a little research on the people you do commission beforehand.

I remember getting some things from her the first time around, and got them in nice time.

Commissioned her on WH for..a pose and a custom Dredge, which was about 40$. She refunded me, but it was 40 deltas.
I pretty much stopped there since I didn't want to deal with it any longer, even though deltas aren't worth much.

I do hope you do see a refund soon, though :/

So I do recall that I literally always asked people if deltas were okay, and if not, that was fine but they'd have to wait and blahblah. At the time, I could not do cash refunds. Life + poor money management, y'know, mistakes of the past. We all make them. In fact, this post is particularly strange, because I tend to refund double-deltas which more than compensates for resale... but ignoring that, and just going off what you're saying, it's still a bit frustrating for me to see! I don't get why you would say "yeah we good" then turn around and contribute to something that negatively impacts a person's reputation. It just feels like backstabbing, you know? If it was a problem, you should tell me. I can't fix what I don't know about! Hell, no one can. We'd have to be psychic. ...that'd be both helpful and terrifying, however. Hmm.

Basically, I'm not a scam artist. Your post implies I am, just like many other posts on here/against me that have been made. & it's particularly bad because, see, while people on here see all the bad, they see none of the good, and they know literally nothing of the personal vendettas, backbiting, and drama that are most definitely the driving force behind these posts. You can argue against this being personal, but I'd gladly debate that and likely win pretty quick! After all, people on WH love to talk. :P Let's be real, heh!

Anyway, I don't know you, do I? So regardless of what you've heard, and all, I'd like to make it clear: I was not trying to somehow rip you off. I'd thought you were satisfied, or else I would have done more. Hell, I'll still do more, if you honestly feel wronged. Coz I want my customers to be happy - & that includes you, bud! In fact, it'd be nice if everyone were happy, but that's just hippie talk so I will box that wish up stat. Point being, I do not blame you for going with the flow, even if I disagree with it on a moral basis(& logical one, too, but particularly it boils down to morals, I think). & even if I did, it has nothing to do with my own morals about how I handle my own stuff, and how I conduct my business as a result. In any case, even though the above poster says the cost is not one per dollar, I'd like to let people who do not know about this to be more educated. You do, in fact, buy deltas for dollar amounts. & the exchange rate is, literally, 1 dollar buys 1 delta. The reason these people are saying it's not that way, is simply coz if you want to turn around and resell them instead of using them, you try to do it for cheaper to get them sold quicker. But you can sell them for 1/1, just as the site does. So... yeah. :P It's a matter of convenience/competing on the forums to sell your batch, s'all.

Having lived with this person a few years ago for about 5-6 months (and having been friends with her for several years prior), I'm honestly not surprised by these events. She had always been adamant about not giving cash refunds because for various reasons (excuses) and would only give refunds as the "deltas" because she always had a lot of those at her disposal. When I lived with her she would do commissions to raise money for rent (which we rarely had) and usually a bulk of the money would go to alcohol and cigarettes instead of food and a place to live. After physically assaulting me and stealing money from me to buy unnecessary things, I moved out and cut all ties.

It's been a couple of years since I last spoke to her but it doesn't seem like she's changed her ways at all. The reason why she won't refund people cash is usually because she has spent it all and literally CAN'T refund anything.

I hope this reply doesn't seem like a "bitter bitch" response, but I have witnessed this artist's chaotic and fraudulent behaviour first hand.

I have heard more than my fair share of stories about her personal life, so I know you're not being bitter, heh.

I asked for a refund some weeks back(before this was even posted) and I still haven't even heard back from her to say "sorry no money", so I think it's safe to assume she's going to take the "ignore it and it will go away" approach with me(again). I don't mean to be rude, but I don't really even want the art anymore, and I just want a refund. Her newer stuff looks pretty rushed, and even if I do miraculously get my commission from her, I didn't give her $30 to get... rushed art.

For the record, I have never rushed my art. I have good days and bad days, but I do not rush. I also have never, literally never, heard anyone complain of such a thing. However, if they did, I would be happy to go back and make changes(within reason) until they felt content.

Not gonna lie, it kind of hurts my ego a bit! But, y'know, I know my art isn't the best out there. Not by a long shot. I can't help that - I can only keep trying. But you don't need to insult it, because again - it was not rushed. & I wasn't asking for critique, so. Y'know!

Hell, maybe my stuff /should/ be done quicker. At my worst, people waited YEARS - yikes. A bit of fire under my ass in the very beginning to get things rushed along may have been better! ...note, this is a joke. Sadly, I feel the need to emphasize that fact.

Hey, I was hoping that someone could let me know how to do this... I'm unsure of where to go, now.

I've given refunds to everyone who needed one, but I'm sure there are people out there who I owe & I don't feel right just letting them slip away. I am a highly moral person, & while it'd be much easier for some to just forget about it, I can't do that. I was wondering if I would be allowed to post an update advertising refunds, basically. I know that sounds strange but I don't know what else to do. I've posted about it everywhere I can, but it's not enough.

Also, I intend on clearing up any misconceptions, etc.. Don't worry, I'm not going to go and insult people. I'm not like that, heh.
