Searching for an artist

This isn't necessarily a Beware, mostly because I'm eternally patient, but I was wondering if anyone had heard anything from Kitsumi (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/kitsumi). My partner and I both commissioned her at FC 2012 for $40-60 ea (I don't even remember her exact price at this point) take-home badges, paid up front, she said would be finished within a month.

It's been almost a year and a half now and notes go unresponded to and emails have gotten the same automated "I'm too busy getting life together to respond" message within a few seconds of sending them, but no actual response has followed.

I was hoping someone perhaps at least had an update on her? Know if she's alive and okay, know if she might ever want to get back to the community?

I've basically written the money off at this point, there's not a whole lot I can do about a cash transaction with no receipt from a year and a half ago but that doesn't stop me from trying to at least see if there's any chance of still getting the art.

I couldn't find anything with this artist (the website they link in their profile is gone too).

Maybe you could try and contact Kurisu aka Chestnuts http://www.furaffinity.net/user/chestnuts/ since they shared a table with her and are still active on FA. Maybe they can help you get in contact.

Wanted to note that I've taken care of these badges since this posting. I had received an email that I responded to - unfortunately I had been extremely busy with a lot of work and personal issues in the past year and had to take a step back, but have since returned and gotten in contact with folks.
