WHO: Somber

WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/somber

WHAT: I commissioned her for a fully done DIGITAL couple piece to be done as a gift for a friend. Which means this it was to be fully rendered - Two characters, full color and shades and background.

WHEN: Payment was sent up-front. I paid her the full payment of $30.00 on August 31, 2013.

EXPLAIN: She and I have been friends for a while and I had asked her if it'd be alright to commission her for a gift I wanted to get for a friend. She agreed to do it and told me to send the payment of $30.00 to her. And just out of the blue today she told me she could not do my commission. I asked her why and she stated "I have my reasons" so I said I understood, but still I was baffled. I had asked for my money back since she didn't even go as far as a rough sketch. She said "I don't do refunds." Then I found out she took offense because I do not like what she likes. I do not agree that personal likes should affect what you're paid to do from a client. And I honestly think it's unfair for me that I cannot be refunded my money. $30 to most people IS a large chunk out of their wallets - in this case, MY wallet. I then went to file a dispute on Paypal, but they were unable to do it. So, now I'm out $30.00 and nothing that came out of it.

EDIT: She has refunded my 30. Please tag as resolved.

Extremely horrendous.

Are there any actions that can be taken by FA?

No names were mentioned, so I dunno if they'd take any action. Her TOS journal has a slapfight going on as well.

I mean more for the theft than the journal.

I, unfortunately, don't know.

It looks like she deleted everything, were there any caps on the journal?

You could always make a ticket for call out/harassment and see if it's answered!

I do not plan on starting tickets on things that have absolutely nothing to do with me. It would be better off if the OP made a ticket. Especially for the theft, i'm sure that it would be far better received if scalpelkitty made it instead of me. :/

Then you should suggest that instead of making a passive statement. You can make tickets on FA that don't apply to you, as a former mod, I dealt with them often and with severity. It's not a big deal.

"Then you should suggest that instead of making a passive statement."

I'm afraid I do not understand what you mean by this. But allow me to reiterate. Iunno why. Maybe it's just me being nervous but my comment history has.. Sucked. Anyway, if Somber was making any hints towards threats of a violent nature, I would personally start a ticket. Since she's just outwardly complaining in a journal, I see no reason to start a ticket on it.

However, I do suggest that OP starts a ticket on FA about the theft. That's more significant than a whiny journal.

And now the artists page (except favorites) has been totally nuked.

Very unprofessional. I can't believe the artist thinks their TOS is okay. "You can't have your art OR money. teehee :3c"

Duh buh.. Buh.. It wouldn't be professional to name names, but it's okay not to either deliver the product or give a refund to a paying customer and then call them "ass hurt".

She wouldn't know professional if it bit her.
