[identity profile] missiekruger.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] artists_beware
I ordered three commissions last year on December 16th totaling 25 dollars. I have emailed the artists a few times and the first update I got was a sketch of two out of the three commissions. This didn't arrive until April 14th. She had some drama in her own life, so I let it slid. Since than, she has been posting nothing but the occasional personal piece and has not responded to my emails at all. She has posted that she is going on a hiatus and that she will answer emails when she gets back...am I just being to picky? I know art can take a while...but she hasn't posted a que other than a single post that stated 13/30. I was just curious is anyone had any advice...

Message her, be firm and make it clear that you would like a response as well as either a refund or results. Don't be rude, but don't be overly nice. I am a slow artist, so I am used to getting notes and I will happily speed up work on a commission for anyone who pokes me. However, if they act like a butt I tend to remind them that I specify how slow I am and ask that they be polite when they ask for me to work faster ;)

I think no progress and slow response is being really rude to you and you give her a week, maybe two and then post a Beware. Be sure to inform her that is what you will be doing...

It's less the wait than the lack of progress and communication to me, but that is still a long wait. Hope it works out!
