EXPLAIN: I have been more than patient with this artist. I ordered a reference sheet for an adopted character at Rainfurrest 2012, and to this date have onlt been given a sketch. I have asked for updates months apart, each time getting one excuse after another while she has started and completed dozens of other comissions. This I'm fine with, I understand a person's gotta work, gotta eat, etc. But after a year, she then offered three reference sheets slots, and completed two of them in less than a dozen days, when mine took a year for me to get a simple b/w linework. The last straw was when I asked for an update, and it was swept under the rug, showing she is actively ignoring me, and knows what she did.

After making this post, I have received the final product, and an anger post about the A_B report.

I really hate it when people are too busy deleting shouts that make them look bad instead of doing what they need to do to not be bad.

If she had time to watch her shoutbox and delete a polite shout asking for progress, she had time to note you.

Yikes, to be honest I really didn't like how she told you about how she was "only" home for a few weeks between those times like its something you had knowledge about prior - or even signed up for when she accepted the commission, and that it excuses the long wait time. It just seemed unnecessarily condescending, and 3 weeks is enough time to do it if she could do the other ref sheets in under 2. Not to mention why accept take home commissions anyway if you're apparently...never home? Or why not simply redo the commission or refund you? She honestly just seemed purely disinterested in your work to me, and if that was the case she should've owned up to it instead of stringing you around like this for so long.

Anyway, I hope this works out for you somehow. I would just tell her you'd like a refund minus the cost of the low-res file at this point since its been going on for long enough, provided you haven't given up on getting a resolution out of this. You definitely shouldn't have to just eat the loss though because she didn't want to fit it into her schedule. :c

Yuck that attitude. :\ I really hope this gets resolved for you! She had absolutely no right to get snappy with you just because you wanted an update on your commission. It's not like you knew she went to two cons back to back.

o.o i was just poking around random artist tags when i saw suke's name and was wondering 'oh god what this time' and holy balls.. she did stupid crap to me too. she copied my character for a drawing for a 'commission' and told me there's no way i could prove it was my character because it wasn't colored.. >.> when all of my friends were linking me the pic, asking if i commissioned her. this is just typical suke, ugh..
