WHAT: A YCH I held in which Chocho won and did not pay for it.

EXPLAIN: I held a YCH on Nov. 27th which ended on Nov. 28th. Choco AB'd the auction at $60. I sent them a PM with my Paypal info and they replied with an ok. In my rules I say that you must pay within 24 hrs, it's been over that now and they still haven't paid. I also sent them a PM to tell them they haven't paid yet which they did read and ignored.

I'm very sorry to hear about the YCH issues

I usually let people pay me within a maximum of two weeks (since that gives them time to transfer money into their PayPal account anyway). So I'd suggest that the next time you offer a YCH auction, you let people pay within two weeks

Thank you! I have in the past before allowed people to pay me within a week but it also caused problems for me because some people would "forget" or ask me for more time because they didn't have any money.

But I just believe that if they don't have the money at hand then they shouldn't bid. And at the current time I especially can't afford to have people play around with me because long story short I was in the hospital 6 times in 10 weeks this summer and we have a massive amount of bills and I'm trying to help my family pay them off as well as student loans.

So I've been pretty successful with the 24 hour time limit and gives me less stress since I don't have to chase people around for money and it lets me know who's serious and who isn't.

And also I feel communication is very important and I'm pretty easy to work with so if I was asked if they could pay within a few days I would have said yes but they just flat out ignored me while still being active on their account which I didn't appreciate.

Ouch, sorry this happened to you too.

I wish people would read and follow the rules in auctions. Especially when it comes to payments. Its good that you PMed them over FA because you can see when a note is read.

Perhaps you could try what Latiro said and extend the payment deadline even if it is just to 48 hrs. Also, I would highly recommend using invoices because you can actually set deadlines/send reminders. Out of my experiences people pay faster or just pay in general 100% of the time when I send invoices.

Yeah I really wish that too haha, but thank you very much for the advice!! In future YCHs I'm going to change the deadline to 48hrs and I'll try to use invoices now too and see if it helps ;u;

UGH i gad pretty much the exact same thing happen to me several months before. I sent the guy some notes, noticed that they've all been read yet not replied to. It's soooooooooo frustrating dude, i feel your pain >.<

I think you probably should! Because usually some people don't bother in making bewares and then the same thing happens over and over again with different people.

So if more than one person can back up what the other is saying then a lot more people can take warning. So sorry it happened to you too though :c

Hm. Ok, yes i'll do it! Plus the bidder had some bad history with another user previously. It's starting to seem like this guy is just bad news all around o~o
