WHAT: One Full body, two chara -discounted- piece. Total of $50

WHEN: The piece was ordered on Jun 3rd, 2013 (7ish months ago). On August 21st, 2013, she posted a journal (via FA) mentioning time away due to family issues at home. Journal post here; https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4979554/ That was her last journal on FA. But she has been active on both DA & Tumblr all the way through today.

PROOF: The only note(s) that were made; http://i.imgur.com/HFz7MLB.png she posted a rough sketch of the piece, but that was all I ever received.
Noted on FA, no response.

EXPLAIN: The art was never done/received =/
It has been about 7 months since I ordered it. I understood that things with life had come up, but from seeing both her DA & her tumblr, its obvious she is still online regularly. Even still doing others art/taking commissions regularly. I messaged approx 5 times trying to get any sort of response. Nothing.
I didn't want to post an A_B on her, as she is an awesome artist, but I am sad that she did this, and I don't want others getting put into the same situation.

She has not read any of my notes. I have noted her on fa, da, and tumblr. She has not opened any of them. But she continues to post things on tumblr.

Have you started a trouble ticket on her in FA? If not, I highly suggest it. Sadly, some artists need the banhammer held over their heads before they decide to do the right thing and do the work they owe.

I've always been a bit wary on shouting on people walls. I've seen so much drama arise from it. But yeah, I guess that would be another step to take. I'll move onto that now.

I always use them as an absolute LAST resort. It's not cool to bring private maters public but when all else fails and your being blatantly ignored it's only fair to call them out.

I actually have a couple pieces done by her, with no issue. This time around its as though she doesn't want to do it anymore. I'm not sure, she will not reply to me, so I have nothing to really go by.

Tumblr doesn't always send asks. They may not have gotten to her. Have you tried emailing the email for the payment?

I sent her a message on tumblr through the 'ask' as well as through the 'fan mail'. But no I have not, I didn't think about it, but I will give that a try now as well.

If she's still active on Tumblr, then I would advise trying to message her there one last time. Tumblr is notorious for eating asks and fanmails, so there is a very real possibility she just didn't receive your messages at all. (Be wary of including links or ellipses in asks, as that raises the chance of it getting filtered)

Even if that were the case though, it doesn't even close to excuse a lack of communication on her end for this long, life troubles or not.

She did the same to me a few months ago. I had to ask her via FA notes, to no responses a few times until I asked on deviantart. I had waited moooonths for it, but she disappeared on FA. She finally answered on DA, and did the piece a short while after that. I unfortunately lost all of the artwork saved on my computer and asked to have another copy if she didn't mind, but I never got a response, although the note says it was "read."

Kinda sucks, because I really like her artwork, and the first piece I got from her (first two, actually) were really great. She was great at communication, too. I think she's just had some life events that have gotten in the way--not that I'm trying to justify her behavior, but I do know how it feels sometimes. Glad she finally responded.

Try her Tumblr.
Send 'fan mail' and she will reply.
At least she did for me.
I also saw she was getting active on DA again as well. So might work trying there again as well.

Yes it is sad it came to this, but she did mention (when she replied on Tumblr) that she has been having depression issues.
I totally understand that being a problem, but I still think responses would have made things go smoother.
Either way, I am just glad I was able to get my finished work. ^^

Im very sad to see her posted here. I have gotten work from her in the past which was a quick turn around and wonderful. I had actually been hoping to commission her again at some point in the future as I love her style and such.

I am glad this has been resolved and you got the promised artwork. I am hoping this is a fluke and not something that will become continued behavior.

I have a few different pieces from her, all with no issues, as you said, done with a quick turn around.
This was the only issue I had, and after I posted this, she sent me the files, I am happy with that at least ^^;

I'm really glad this was resolved! I was shocked to see her here, I had gotten a discounted commission from her during that same discount and got mine very quickly and she was great to work with. Like others have said, I definitely hope it's just a fluke and that she's learned her lesson!

Unfortunately I have the same issue with Torri. Commissioned a few small chibis some 2 years ago (March 2012) and never got them, she never replied to any of my notes regarding them before she went 'dark' on FA, ignored my notes on DA and Tumblr.

I've sent her another message on Tumblr about this, since that seems to be the only place she is active anymore.

Super old reply but yes, I've commissioned her and bought a YCH around the same time as Vindictive and never received anything and this was $105 USD worth. I've contacted her on FA, DA, Tumblr, Twitter, Twitch and the most recently instagram. I'll be doing my own artist beware soon.
