Ripped off?

Hi, everyone....I'm new here and I already have an issue to bring up. *dry chuckle* Does anyone know anything about the artist known as DigiKnight Kokurou? He's Korean and draws muscles a lot. Here's his site:

What happened was, he contacted me very enthusiastically and asked if we could do an art trade. I accepted, then went ahead and did my half. (Foolish of me....I now realize that it's safer to wait until the person who requested the trade does their half.) I posted the pic, he thanked me and said that because of his job, it would take him awhile to do his part.

Two or three months later, I hadn't heard anything from him. I e-mailed him and asked about trade. He repeated that his job was getting in the way and asked if, in the meantime, I would draw more art of his characters. Needless to say, I said I wouldn't until he did his end of the trade. No response. It's been almost a year, and I haven't heard a thing from him.

I was just wondering if anyone else knows about this person. Judging from his site, he seems to do a lot of art trades. Is he always this slow, or does he have a history of fleecing people for art, or what?

One thing I can tell you, is that he's not Korean, he's Chinese. :s Sorry to nitpick, just thought you should know.

Well, even though it wasn't an artist trade as in your situation, he enthusiastically offered to do a pic for my web page...and that was almost three years ago.

I used to follow up with him periodically, but I have since let it go.
