EXPLAIN: Alright, I first want to point out that this artist is not a bad person, at all. It's just a case of biting off more than you can chew.
To avoid this being too long, I'm going to make it a bullet list;

- April 10th, ask for an update and asked if they could note me on a different account when it was done

- May 9th, was informed that they were trying to fix their queue, and would be putting one up soon.

- May 29th, at this time I was concerned that I was still missing from the queue and haven't gotten any more updates. I logged back onto the account I originally contacted her with, in case the problem was that she didn't remember the new one. Plus, she'd be able to search back in her notes and get the information for the commission that way. I asked for another update, but note was never read.

- June 27th, saw that a journal posted on june 7th was asking if anybody was missing from their queue. At least 7 other people, not including myself, had been missed. I replied to the journal saying that I was left out of the queue as well.

- June 29th, They've been online multiple times and I feel avoided, so I decided it was time to just ask for a refund.

I feel bad about doing this, but she continues to take on more commissions, so I feel it's only right to kind of post up so people know what to expect. Though it's really mixed, she has taken on multiple commissions since mine, and finished them. However, her current queue is at least 28 people long (not counting myself) with a total of over 78 individual pictures owed. She seems nice, but I think she is too worried about upsetting people to contact them and explain what is going on with wait times.

They're pretty young so definitely seems like a case where they love to take new stuff but then fart out on actually finishing most of it
and communicating with people.

Ugh. I'm so sorry it happened with you. I commissioned her 2 YCH chibies, and I'm still not in queue. (Paid on 13th of June).

I'm in the same boat. Paid for a YCH chibi on the 17 (of June) and have yet to be put on the queue or hear anything from her.

I usually don't remind about commissions too early (I'm very patient), so will wait for some weeks to write her. Anyway, I will remind, because some artists think that they don't need to do the work if their client "forgot" about it. :>

Ahah I'd say I'd kind of figure that is what was going on here...but she's been online and still hasn't updated her queue, nor read her notes. So I'm not sure how that could be a case of "oh sorry, I forgot" when there are so many reminders around. You might want to post in that journal she posted up (that asked if anybody was missing from queue) if you want to be sure you aren't overlooked though

I wanted to follow your advice, but link to her to do list was dramatically removed from user page. Anyway, I found it in previous journal entry, and asked her in shouts (hope it's OK).

I don't want to dramatize, but this "I quit commissions!" journal without finishing already paid commissions looks very suspicious. :(

Looks like she is planning on completing commissions before she stops taking any more.

However, I'm not positive what sparked this, since as far as I know she still isn't aware of this A_B post (she isn't reading notes)

So unless somebody else told her about it, but it's hard to tell what's going on at the moment.
