I just want to give praise to this portion of Live Journal’s Artists Beware. So I’ll understand if this message is relocated or moved or whatever. I’m not only learning a lot from everyone’s experience and triumphs, but a better level respect for artists even if I am not one. You would think a place like DA would allow this feedback and advice without scrutiny – and maybe they do, but not as efficient. If only I discovered this site earlier and under better circumstances, but hey here I am and have no regrets. Keep doing what you are doing. You affect more people than you think. Thank You.

dA is unfortunately too big for such a service to operate on, and many other sites have personal issues with such organisations. More than one artist has flipped out at the idea of a community that functions as a Better business Bureau for artists.

Fffff DA is ... really shitty. They're very... Ugh. It's hard to say. They aren't well managed and their rules and such are up to the interpretation of whatever mod you get.

It's best to keep stuff like that to LJ so that there can be alot of really great feedback about artists and customers both good and bad- I know I have seen people I will avoid because of this site.

Heh. I raised a complaint on the DA forums nearly four years ago, and I'm still getting hate mail from it. I very seldom post art there for this reason.

I've had too many bad experiences on DA. Back when the furry community was really big there it was pretty good... in the old days when Zer and Chiv and Huskie were still the crew to be, and all the old drama and not drama. I MISS THOSE DAYS D: But then fa showed up and even the non gross furry artists left, and left DA with drama D: I dunno. I just... cant stand most of the people or the mods there.

It is SO WEIRD how many people I meet who joined dA in '03! So many of my friends I recently met did, and I did. It's just weird to me. D: I've noticed it more than any other year.
I wonder why that is.

It was the year I discovered what furry WAS. Then I was like, "I would really like to draw humans, but I can only draw animals and THIS IS A GOOD COMPRIMISE".
I actually haven't changed my dA name ever, so all my first art is still on there. XD Most of it is in storage now because I'm way embarrassed by how I used to type. >.>

Dude. YES. Those were good days. 2003 - 2004 were fun... and in 2005, some elitist shit went down, and it just wasn't fun any more. I get sick of the people who have a hate boner for furries -who come and bother me on DA. It's so dumb, I mean... I don't have a single piece of gross/fappy/emogoth art on my site... I just like drawing cartoon animals for pete's sake.

At least at FA there's a bit of a safe haven from the furry bashing. It's not a very good trade, what with all the creeps and typefuckers out there. o_O You couldn't pay me to draw a bunch of porn and post it there. No way. I get enough creepy fanboys without drawing porn.
