I bought a rabbit tail and two small wolf tail keychains from her. I'm guessing it is from the exact same LJ post that I got mine from. I got the same email from her about my things getting lost in the mail and that she needs to replace them.

But all I know is that currently she is having issues with some fur sites that owe her fur. I guess she is having a real hard time getting the fur supplies she needs to work.

here is a link: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/457268/

I really hope that this problem is all that is slowing her down because I adore her work and have great responses and work from her in the past and I would hate to see this ruin that reputation.

Oh, wow. Am I, like, the only one here who has NEVER had problems receiving their fur? I mean, sure, I was backordered once, but it got here about two weeks later. :/

I'm never ordering from CR's again. EVER.

Hey hon, soon as I get in the black fur for your keychains, which CR's tells me will be this week for my order, then I will have your stuff out ASAP as well. However, I do want to get your address again, so if you could please send me it via LJ messages, or to valdyr@fenrirproductions.com AND dreamsrequiem@gmail.com, or even just note me via FA, that would be really appreciated.

Sounds a bit odd that her stuff keeps getting lost in the mail... either she doesn't know how to ship things or its just a ploy to say Whoops! I should do that.

I ordered a 70$ sketchbook when she was in a bind at one point but had to get it refunded because she didn't have artistic inspiration to do the project.

Not a ploy... when I moved, I was told that my address was 104 1/2 River Street by my landlord. That is also where I shipped things from, and had return addresses of that on all my stuff. Apparently I messed up addresses on both Eenyu's and Broadway's packages (probably dyslexia kicking in, which taught me NOT to write down the addresses on two packages at the same time), and they were not delivered. They also were not returned. I later got a (nasty) letter from our post office informing me that our address was 104 River Steet UPPER, for some odd reason, and that it was why I was not recieving my mail. It was a HUGE mess. I lost an estimated 40% of my mail, including some really important documents that prevented me from getting health insurance and all sorts of good stuff.

I've been waiting on two icons from her for since January. =/

I'm working on redoing them again... my last laptop died and it wasn't under warranty anymore and I wasn't about to spend over a grand to get a motherboard and a hard drive replaced when I could just save up my money and get a desktop for that price. So I saved, and now I have a desktop, and I am working on getting your two icons redone again... though a reminder of what two expressions you wanted would be appreciated, as I lost my amazing list of "who wanted what expression" when I lost my laptop.

Aw, i totally understand! No worries, good to know what's goin' on. =3 Here's a copy/paste from the original email I sent ya:

"Icon #1: My character Wolf Nymph, looking rather melancholy and sad... Perhaps a tear running down her cheek, looking down with her thoughts far away.

Icon #2: Wolf Nymph again, this time with a big happy doggy grin on her face, tongue hanging out to one side maybe."

Hope that helps!

Just kind of a pet peeve and some advice for you.

"I just want my tail you guys :( I don't have money to throw around. $15 is important to me."

If you do not have even $15 dollars to waste, what are you doing putting that $15 on a rabbit tail? Purchases through the internet, whether from a dealer or from an online store or ebay are risky! You might come out of the deal down some money and without anything to show for it, especially when paying up front.

It is the artists responsibility to complete the commissioned work, but it is YOUR responsibility to look after your finances, and if $15 dollars is important enough that you can't be willing to say "oh well, I won't get that back, but I learned my lesson", maybe you shouldn't be spending it on a frivolous purchase.

That said, she still does have the responsibility of delivering her half of the deal so hopefully you get in contact with her soon.

So you're saying people should just give random folk $15 for nothing? There's a difference between wanting to spend $15 on something "frivolous", and just being willing to throw it away.

Date: 2008-09-29 06:45 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tealizard.livejournal.com
No, I'm not saying that.

I'm saying that by paying someone for something before you receive the product, you should know that there is a risk involved, and if you cannot afford to lose $15 because of a transaction gone wrong, you shouldn't be spending $15 on a fursuit item, or a peice of art, or hell, even something on ebay, unless you have the item in your hands first.

If $15 is such a big deal to her because of her money situation, then she shouldn't be paying anything upfront, especially if something is not a necessity.

From: [identity profile] alcyione.livejournal.com
I think what tealizard meant is that when spending that $15, you better be sure you don't absolutely NEED that money someplace else first.... that this $15 should be expendable and not necessary.

From: [identity profile] lilenth.livejournal.com

I think what they mean is if you can't afford to spend it, don't spend it.

If you spend $15 on something you never get? That's $15 you don't have.

If you spend $15 on something frivolous. That's still $15 you don't have.

The only difference between the two is that in one case, you have something to show for spending £15 and in the other you don't. Either way, the $15 is still gone, so if someone can't afford to spend it, they probably shouldn't spend it.

Ummm... finical situations change. I could spare 15 bucks for some art a few months ago, now I'm in a crunch. Some of us pay our own bills and don't live with our parents so sometimes we have the budget for these things and sometimes we don't.
All we can do is hope that the artists fulfills their end of the deal, and for the most part, at least in my experience (which is pretty extensive) they do. I've only had one artist flake out on me, and that you read about here.

Seems odd that two people would report "item lost in the mail" responses, I suppose it's possible, unlikely though.

Have you checked the email you have for her and made sure it's current? Have you had responses before from her from that email addy? I ask because it's always possible that your email has been dumped in her spam and not everyone checks their spam box.

Either way I hope you get your tail or your refund soon.

Hi, I just wanted to tell you that our last transaction, where I asked for your address again, I never recieved an e-mail in response from you. I HAVE been e-mailing you to see if I could get said address. If you could, please send me an e-mail to dreamsrequiem@gmail.com AND to valdyr@fenrirproductions.com, or even send me a message on LJ with your address. I haven't recieved a single e-mail that you claimed to have sent til I was notified of that screwup with the post office. I still have not gotten the ORIGINAL tail back, but I DO have the remake sitting here, waiting to be mailed off as soon as possible. However, I really need your address again to make SURE that it doesn't get returned to me. Granted, now that the post office has told us that I do not live at 104 1/2 but rather 104 Upper, I haven't had lost packages.... but I did not know that back then.

Would you like me to resend my address as well?

Sorry things seem to have gotten so out of hand with what should have been a simple transaction. I hope that things get all worked out for you eventually!
