I can certainly sympathize with that situation, but what was your plan if the artist hadn't "screwed you around" and you'd gotten your art? Do you see what we're saying?

Of course you're not obligated to answer any further, but... well, look, you said yourself that on April 5 "I told them I wasn't comfortable waiting longer and would likely file a charge back in no more than a week to get my money back."

and then "I told them I would be moving ahead with the charge back at my earliest convenience as a result of that, they said it was a dickish move not giving them a full week, and that they would pay me a in a couple of days."

You waited til the 11th to escalate to threatening them and get the money back immediately, though, instead of following through on the chargeback after those couple of days had come and gone with no refund. If your bill was due a couple of days after the 11th and you knew you needed that money, why not file the chargeback sooner?

I'm just having a hard time understanding the leap from giving the artist a week to suddenly needing the money so soon that you threaten to harass the artist's watchers. You wouldn't have had the money if your art had come through anyway.
