Explain:
May 24th- Ordered Commission
I had ordered a group picture for me and friends to have while making sure it was simple. No bg and only a colored sketch. Easy enough I hoped. It cost $80 dollars.

June 25- Checking in
She had said it would only take a few hours to start on, but after a month passes she hasn't worked on it. Okay fair enough. Art can be hard with a life.

During this time she rants on journals of how hard it is and how people are insulting her for taking so long. I have doubts on this but she has deleted these journals already. Even one about leaving Furaffinity.

July 27th- WIP but it's wrong
Awhile back on skype, I asked to change the characters and she agreed to this. So when she showed me a wip of the art, I told her it was an older one, she says she hasn't updated the art yet.

November 16th-
I again ask about my art from her and she says she has the file of it and will post to trello. However, looking at it, it's the exact same wip I had seen in July. She merely reuploaded it!

Afterward, she says she will have it done by Saturday or Sunday.

November 26th- No response
I think I have the right to ask about my art more frequently now, and what a surprise, she is ignoring me.
She has also been known just to vanish out of nowhere from time to time as well.

I feel as though I have been more than patient, and I really love her art style, but she does not know how to properly organize and must learn to not lie about getting art done.

If she doesn't respond soon with a better wip (just a new sketch) and properly work on it, I will be asking for a refund. Anyone who has gotten art from her should do the same.

Hmmm...There seems to be another FA account with the same icon as Babbuful and there's a shout on that account from a commissioner asking for a response to an email. May be just a coincidence, but with how often this happens I'll see it there's a link between them.

Yeah it looks like that. But I just wanted to be sure with the fact that both have the same icon and aren't responding to commissioners it seems.

Well she just posted today about doing freebies. Honestly if she doesn't respond today I say fuck it and file a dispute and immediately escalate it to a claim.

It's amazing how many artists posted on here have things on their profile saying they don't like the kind of people that they themselves are being posted here for being.

Personally I think it's very inconsiderate to take someones money and then ignore them.

I hope you are able to get this resolved. The artist seems to be posting adopts and has a journal up about doing free art "freebs." It doesn't look like she intends on being responsible with her commissions. Thank you for warning us about her.

P.S. One thing also, I might suggest doing differently as a commissioner? I noticed that you call the artist "dear," "sweetie," and "darling" in your notes. Some artists will be okay with that, others will feel uncomfortable. Just something to bear in mind.

Seconding this. I actually have a clause in my Terms of Service against informal or overfamiliar terminology for this exact reason. Being referred to with words like "dear" and "sweetheart" makes me exceedingly uncomfortable, and I've had to cancel and refund clients who refused to stop before.
A good general rule of thumb is to not use wordage you would think twice about using in an office meeting, business interview, or other professional settings. :)

With the risk of this veering off further, just keep in mind that in some places calling someone by a pet name can be taken as being extremely condescending. While it's ok to do on a personal level, it may be something you want to work on while in a business transaction.

Seconding this. I've actually cancelled transactions from being called "sweetie," "dear" or "honey" too often. Just rubs me the wrong way.
