EXPLAIN: I commissioned this person to draw 4 images in june as shown above. I changed the characters june 28th since they had not gotten any work done http://i.imgur.com/i5QUHp4.png In july they said that since they took so long theyd like to shade them, which i responded with this http://i.imgur.com/eIS7sIB.png and that day they got the first one done http://i.imgur.com/iBpTChf.png
The trouble started not long after when they said their computer died and they'd have to take a hiatus http://i.imgur.com/Qebo8tr.png so i decided to ask about my commission and if i would get a refund. I was told that id have to wait http://i.imgur.com/2WwmgT9.png
They returned in september and got a lot of work done but still did not get to mine. In november I sent them a note asking why and got this as a response http://i.imgur.com/F0RYYpg.png once i gave them the references it didnt take them very long to finish another one of mine http://i.imgur.com/WAwaJev.png as you could see here http://i.imgur.com/q6FElBE.png there was a misunderstanding, i mixed up notes and thought that i had paid for shading instead of them offering it for free. I let it go pretty fast, and only found the original notes with what i commissioned later on. Only a few days later they posted this http://i.imgur.com/ZkNHgwX.png though they did not link me to it, i found it on my own while checking their gallery. I figured everything was going well but then realized i hadnt heard from them for a month.
I left them a comment here asking http://i.imgur.com/lq7230B.png and they redirected me to their journal here http://i.imgur.com/5z3xoDc.png
They have a comment on their page saying not to ask about it http://i.imgur.com/krjHDcy.png

A big reason as to why I'm making this beware is because I noticed them taking on more work despite owing me art for about 10 months as you can see here http://i.imgur.com/q5BSvAD.png and here http://i.imgur.com/H925fgn.png

UPDATE2: I reached out again via note and i gave them the references again. hopefully it works out now.

U have a really butthurt. If you don't understand Kijek's situation, then u shouldn't complain about it at all. Those arguments doesn't even make sense.
Now u only ruining someone's job, so u not even deserve those pieces of art from her. I think I'm gonna tell her about this and u should think about yourself. That's true, that she have a lot to give ppl for a long time, but what now?? U gonna blame her and you still want that art?
That's her life, so leave her alone. You should delete, what u wrote here and just talk to her than being a rude bitch. ??
Maybe I'm mean, but I'm her friend, I know that's she's not doing well for a whole year and sorry, but you're just piece of shit right now.

If the artist is having a rough time of it, they can cancel and issue a refund. Dragging out a commission for so long and then ignoring a customer is unprofessional. Taking on new work and seeking out art trades when they owe past work (http://comments.deviantart.com/4/32868625/4366256032) is not a good way to conduct business.

One beware won't hurt the artist if they come in here, apologize, and make a good faith effort to resolve this situation.

Her friend / white knight's comment towards you is just atrocious, especially when you were nothing but civil. The artist's behaviour is bad enough but I would never commission an artist whose "friends" would abuse and bully their clients like that.

Artist i don't know why posting that journal to vent out as well as comment like this http://comments.deviantart.com/1/676039844/4374318269 from your friends. You do realize your making this situation far worse.

If you really wanted to solve this artist you would work something out with your customer not make excuses like that.

yeah im really not liking these comments and how its expected that I apologize even though I'm clearly not the one in the wrong here.

small thing that annoys me is that im not a "she" or a "miss" but not as big a deal i suppose.

Looks like that journal has since been deleted, however the attitude alone that you're in the wrong for being frustrated is beware-worthy. If they think it's okay to behave this way to you, there's no reason for people reading this to think they won't behave that way with them as well. It's certainly not something I would be willing to risk, and that's entirely on the artist for their behaviour, not you for posting the beware.

Unfortunately, a lot of people watching them on DA will simply take their side without putting much thought into it. To them, it'll always be your fault just for upsetting an artist they like. All you can do is ignore them and continue trying to gain a resolution with the artist (and definitely don't fall for their attempt to extort you into deleting your beware, you likely wouldn't get what you were owed regardless, this has come up before). Actually i took a screencap of the whole journal with the comments but the op has a cap of the journal as well. It's not surprising how the artist and their friends reacted to this especially the rude post on here.

Wow that journal. Yeah just shows what kind of person they really are. Thanks for posting. I'll be sure to help spread this. Also two things fuck whatever her white knighting fans say because all they well do is suck up to the artist. And second never let the paypal go past 6 months. I honestly can't stress this enough because so many people make this mistake.

That journal was pretty bad. It's really rude. I love how she mentions she can't do refund and cops a major guilt trip. It sucks that she's in arrears and she has drug issues, but that's not the client's problem. This is a business transaction and the personal should be separated from the professional. I wouldn't want to work with her or the overly defensive friend who is coming in here and starting fights.

Yeah the drug thing is what really got me. I wasn't sure if she meant prescription drugs or illegal ones. And if it was meant to mean illegal drugs then it says a lot that they would use that as an excuse.

Glad to see that you got one of your pieces. I see they did end up adding a bit of shading to that one and I think it turned out extremely nice. Here's wishing you can still enjoy it despite the ... rocky customer service, and hopefully the artist gets you your final piece soon and straightens out their business practices.
