So I wanted some advice, and I'm leaving all names out until I come to a conclusion on weather or not I should post them up here. I'll be brief on the subject, but I commissioned someone exactly almost two years ago for two pictures. A week after I placed my commission they completed my first piece and told me the next would be done in the following days. Hard times fell on this artist after that, so I gave them some slack.  Since then, I was put on a reserved status slot after they'd given me a WIP of my second piece, I was cool with that, after all, It had only been two weeks since I placed my commission. Over the time I've waited, the artist has taken new commissions out of stream (and finished them), and had countless in stream commissions they've finished as well. My commission has sat in the dust, basically, for a year and 7 months to this day, and I wanted to know if it was right to post an AB on an artist's commission ethics (Example: Taking a regular slot commission, then taking a bunch more commissions and putting my commission in a 'reserved' slot after I paid for everything up front, letting it sit for almost two years, and then pumping out newer commissioner's art without budging the reserved status commissioners for this whole time).  I'm sure I could get a refund, but I really just don't agree with how the artist has handled their commissioners, and I was wondering if this is something that should be posted to artist beware, as this artist has given me trouble with my commission.

WHO: IvoryTigress (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/ivorytigress/).

WHERE: The commission process started through email then moved to FA notes.

WHAT: It was a digital icon that I was getting for my friend as a going away gift.

WHEN: October 30th, 2011 until August 14, 2013 - First sign of noted trouble was April 2012.

PROOF:

EXPLAIN:

She was offering decently priced commissions and my best friend was moving away that May. As a gift, I wanted to get him an icon for FA since he didn't have one. She agreed by email to have it done by 11/30/2011. When she produced nothing, I had assumed it was due to the holidays and waited. By April 2012, I knew something was wrong and she wasn't responding to my emails although her profile says she responds to emails NOT notes. I finally got a response from her via FA Notes with a promise that she'll finish it soon. The sketch she provided was poorly done, but I continued to give her the benefit of the doubt. A sketch is a sketch, it is a rough draft. I thought she would clean it up a little bit. A year later and she finally responds to another note from me in May 2013. She apologized and promised it was priority and offered a refund. The commission was $7.50, but I paid $15 since she was so sweet. I figured getting a full refund ($15) would be a hassle, especially since she constantly posts journals complaining about her money problems and asking for donations so she can afford to eat that day (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11073414/). I told her I just wanted the icon and sent her the information again in May. It is now August and she isn't responding again, yet she posts other commissions online and even more journals complaining about money.

Edit: She heard about me trying to post on A_B and contacted me. She wanted to give me half a refund or live stream a sketch for me. I told her I didn't want anything, the damage was already done. She refunded half anyway and refunded everyone else's commissions as well claim that she was quitting commission work.

Current Mood: Nyah Nyah!
