This really isn't a beware yet vs just being concerned. I commissioned her three months ago and I haven't heard a thing back since then. I emailed and noted her on her fa account asking her the status of my commission. (not a rush or anything) Apparently the note has been read and I have recieved no reply to my email.  So naturally I am a bit worried. It was only eight bucks but I would still like to see the final product or have a refund.  Thanks for your time

Edit: she contacted me through email saying that she had been busy with other work, which I had no clue about.  She also said I proved to be very impatient.  I personally don't think so but if I am wrong then fine I will gladly apologize.  I offered her the option to just refund me so we could just pretend this never happened

Last Edit: She said she would get a sketch out for me this week and we both admitted fault in a miscommunication. Please refrain from saying anything derogatory, because my intention was not to drag her name through the mud or make her out to be a bad artist.

Try her DA? http://goku-san.deviantart.com/

I've seen doing commisions and things for people on Furry-Paws and Dog Dayzz, but whether or not she's backed up I'm not sure.

You have a right to know what's up with your art. As long as you aren't hounding her every day or multiple times a week, I think you are well within your boundaries.

What exactly was it? Just a sketch? If it was something small, three months is definitely a bit long. O.o (Even though yeah, real life happens, she should still be contacting you.)

There's no shame in reporting what is happening. Even though you might not be too worried about $8, you and I both know that there are a lot of commissioners out there who are and would raise hell over it. (Not that doing so is a bad thing, but just to play Devil's Advocate here. :P)

I think you were very reasonable in the way you went about handling the situation. I hope that you get your sketch soon!

From what I'm reading her you definitely do not sound as though you've been impatient. Like someone else said, you have every right to inquire about work you paid for. :/

Going just on what I see here, she's being rather rude to you, when she's the one who's not displaying common courtesy in replying to a customer's inquiries. The nerve of some people....You were definitely not being impatient at all, if you waited several months to even ask about the status of your commission, if you were polite about it. I think I'd get my money back and go to someone with a bit more in the way of manners. She might prove difficult to work with in other ways as well.
