Ruggels?

I was thinking about asking Scott Ruggels (sp?) for a commission. However, I seem to remember reading a negative review about him. Did I imagine this? Or is there something to this suspicion? I know I found his LJ somewhere. I hope I didn't find it here! But let me know if I did.

I know Ruggels.
He recently did a number of sketch commissions which looked quite nice, I haven't heard anything bad about them. He is going to be off-line for the next two weeks or so, so I imagine that communication will be nill.
I don't remember seeing any complaints about him here or elsewhere.

I don't know him as a commissioner, but as a friend - he's a good guy, and a great artist. I don't recall any warnings posted about him anywhere either.

I've worked with him, and had him do work for me, in the past. No complaints.

I've never seen complaints about him in a professional capacity.

I don't know Ruggels personally but I've never heard a single thing against him profressionally and he seems like a stand up guy from what I've seen of him.

There have been no complaints about him, but currently (for the next couple of weeks) he has very limited internet acess, and may not be able to respond to queries in a timely manner. If you leave a note on his LJ, he will get back to you when he's able to get online, but it may take a few days.

We've had some fine 'ol ideological rows over the years, but I've never heard a word against his professionalism.

There was a bit of drama following him from the yerf days, but I've heard neither good or bad about him from a commission standpoint. I'd say at the least the complaints are unrelated.

Never heard nuthin negative about his commissioning or art skills, and there's certainly nothing here in the past couple years. I would have noticed if his name had popped up.

He did open for commissions recently and seemed to get them done swiftly and they looked good.
IMHO if you like his samples you'll be happy commissioning him.

Ruggels' work is top-notch. If you did hear a bad review it was probably by somebody he got into an argument with. ^^

You're not going to go wrong if you want to commission him.

Wasn't he an animator or something? For that name sounds quite familiar.

I don't know him personally, but from what I've seen over the years he's nothing but professional when it comes to art and commissions. Exceptional technical proficiency, too.

Scott is solid. Professional artist and attitude-- great at world-building, too.

He's reliable and timely (and has friends who will kick his butt if he lags). The only caveat is that (as others have already mentioned) he currently has very limited internet access, so be patient.

Sorry to be off topic, but I just had to check out your profile/journal to see the costume head in your icon - I assume you made that, given your profile information? I didn't see any links where I can see bigger photos, though - do you perhaps have a website showcasing your work? The fox head and the griffin head are freakin' fantastic!

Thanks for the kudos-- I sent you a pm with links to more pics of Komamura (a character from the anime, "Bleach"). Which griffin head, the purple one (Kass from Neopets) or the grey one?
