[identity profile] cerari.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] artists_beware
First time posting here, but after stumbling onto this user's journal I thought a heads up to this community might not be a bad idea.

User is JinDragonWolf (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/jindragowolf/) - they posted a journal about how they may cancel their current commissions since they have been taking so long and "not feeling up to them", and then start over with higher prices to get a Wacom. Oh, and they can't afford to give refunds at this time either.

Journal : http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1357331/

If I made any errors in posting this, please let me know! I checked the community info and don't think I broke any rules...

Weird. The artist claims to have lost interest in doing the furry commissions as a partial reasoning for not finishing them.

But if you pay ten bucks more that interest will suddenly return? (Not the price said, no price was mentioned at all but an "increase" was. So I am thorwing ten out there figuratively.)

I dunno. I understand both sides here. I just think that using "Loss of interest" in finishing work then upping the prices for the same work (furry art) is a little messed up.

I cannot just "lose interest" haflway through lettering a book and then tell my boss if she pays me 50 bucks more per book I'll have my interest back. That'd get me fired along with a good bitching out.

Let me rephrase.

"Don't feel up for it"-- I translated that as loss of interest. Thats the comment I am getting at.

That's the impression I got. If the person "Don't feel up for it"-- on their current commissions, do they have a reason to think they'll suddenly feel up for it with new ones? And they should not be spending one dime of new commission money until the cancelled commissions are paid back.

Of course, if anyone gives this person new commissions, they're an idiot.

I just don't know how he thinks that anybody will comission after doing that.
