There's a new site out there snagging art off of FA and posting it up for your viewing pleasure, as long as you pay.

http://sites1.adult-empire.com/6993/?rs=1 [NSFW]

I already see art of those I know up there, some of whom watch me. If you see art up there that is yours or recognize someone's art, then I HIGHLY suggest filing a DMCA against the webhost to get your art taken down. With any luck, we can shut this site down.

not the first time and definitively not the last time the adult-empire network tries to leech from furry free art and then offer it as their own products..

How can they even do that? They are a third party trying to provide images and content that don't even belong to them. STEALING people's work and requiring other people to pay to see it?

I know it's wrong, obviously, I just don't know how they can get away with this.

No, they figure most won't notice and the remainder will just raise and internet shit storm instead of doing something practical like SUE THEM. :P

A lot of the pay sites do it unfortunately, I've had to have my stuff removed from pay sites who didn't have permission to use it.

They rely on the fact that they're usually based in some country with lax laws to get away with it and that it's fairly hard to sue across internationally boundaries.

Ugh. Not willing to pay to see if my art's been swiped. I mean, seriously? Thirty five bucks a MONTH?! D:

According to the TOS, $35 gives you access to all their sites. Not just that one.

It seems Aubrin was hit hard and is considering legal action.

It's easier said than done though. Court is an exhaustive process and people simply don't have the time, money, or energy to get through all that. And I think the people that run those kind of sites know it wouldn't be easy.

For example, FinallyFast.com gets sued constantly and they easily avoid lawsuits by changing their name over and over again. And they'll keep doing that because they know the internet is a big place and they'll keep scamming people until they exhausted all possibilities.

Sadly, I notified an artist who's stuff I saw and they didn't care and just said they don't see how it really hurts them >.<

It would be nice if defense against places like this was easier/less expensive to do. Does something like a class action lawsuit exist for being ripped off in this way? Most people wont take the initiative, but I'm sure they would join in if the hard work was done for them.

I can't get access to the site to be able to see if my art is up there or not...
