Mod post: Call for positive reviews coming soon!

Based on the results of our discussion and the subsequent poll, we moderators have decided to have a monthly post for positive reviews. Individual positive reviews will no longer be allowed as separate posts, and artists' names will only be used for tagging 'beware' posts.

How it will work:

On or around the first of each month, a moderator will put up a post calling for people to comment about their positive experiences. They can be either about an artist or a customer, and should include details about what this person did to make the transaction so fantastic.


The first call for positive reviews is coming in the next few days, so be keeping in mind those who have helped make your commission experience the fun, easy, smooth transaction we all hope for.

Is there any rules on how recent the transaction(s) that are being positively reviewed ought to be?

We haven't discussed a specific time-limit, but I would prefer that they be fairly recent. Someone who was awesome a couple years ago may have developed some bad habits in that amount of time.

We may develop some time limitations later on, depending on how things work with the new format. I'm sure with the first post or two, we'll get some positive reviews from older transactions, and that's fine. Once we're doing this regularly, I expect the transactions will be a bit more recent.

May I suggest a form of some kind like fursuit reviews has? Like maybe:

Opinion:

That's a good idea. I prefer a bit less restrictive format, myself, but perhaps the other mods and I can come up with a compromise. One that will allow people to write it the way they would like yet have at least some structure so it would be easy to read.

Maybe request they put the artist or commissioner's name in the title of the comment, for starters.

Maybe instead of restricting dates have people give a ball park figure for when the commission took place so people can take reviews of transactions from longer than a time limit they're personally comfortable with with a grain of salt?

Could we make it either required or recommended that the OP include a link to the artwork, with an NSFW if needed? Not everybody does and then you're stuck searching the artist's name on FA or DA if you want to see the artwork. :P

This is a pretty good idea because most artists I commission go off without a hitch and there have been maybe only 2-3 problem artists I have ever had.
