I do not have a receipt for the animethon badge. I do have one for the other, if you guys want it, I can post it later, I just have to dig through old paypal reciepts.
I commissioned her at animethon and a month after animethon. Around sept. 12th, I got a note saying this:

So both should have been sent on the 13th.
I waited a long while, and I think at the end of january I emailed her again, asking where my badges were. Her response is at the top. She then proceeds to tell me, she is doing an iron artist, and when she hits 25 commissons, she will do a mass ship. Keep in mind my badges have been done for 5 months!

As of today, she only has 6 people signed up for her Iron Artist, which pretty much makes me think I will never see them.

She did send me this note, saying she would have them shipped out by the end of Feb., but that never happened.

I sent her a note a month ago, still no answer.

I like the artist, I like her work, but she seriously has her priorities mixed up. She has taken alot of commissions since mine, I did pay for shipping, they SHOULD have been shipped out by now.
Now she's posting a journal saying she has booked a room for AC... which I'm sure you have to put some sort of deposit down for. She STILL has no responded to my last note.

I am beyond ticked. I do not reccomend Laine for anything anymore. I was planning on ordering a bunch of badges for a bunch of my friends up here, but I doubt I will ever see them.

Date: 2011-03-25 07:43 am (UTC)That just makes no sense to me.. That after having your badges sit around for months on end that she wants to make you wait until 25 people sign up for iron artist.. and she finishes ALL of them?
Did you pay extra ontop of the commission price for shipping?
In all honesty, in no other business would this shit go down. Could you imagine ordering supplies or something online and have to constantly email to see where your stuff was? And have them tell you they have to fill out 25 orders of the same product before they'd ship yours?
I dunno why furries think that they are above common business practices.. This girl needs to stop selling artwork if she isn't capable of shipping items that have been paid for.
Thanks for the warning, I'll steer clear of her.

Date: 2011-03-25 11:28 am (UTC)If you are going to AC, perhaps you could schedule a pickup?

Date: 2011-03-25 03:15 pm (UTC)I got this shout on my FA this morning from her:
You're well within your rights to do so, I am fairly bad at getting things shipped out in a timely manner. But your badges will be shipped out when it gets shipped out with the rest.
I am even more frustrated now. I don't expect to see my badges ever. I PAID for shipping, they should have been shipped a LONG time ago >.>

Date: 2011-03-25 03:23 pm (UTC)But I would be willing to pickup your badges for you at A.C. and ship them myself to you at no cost to you.
I feel really bad this happened to you and I would like to help, cause i'm genuinely a nice person.

Date: 2011-03-25 10:57 pm (UTC)Wait what!? You got to be kidding me!
It's like if I were to purchase something from Amazon then amazon decides to withhold my shipment not because what I bought is not in stock but because is waiting to ship 20 or so of the same product all at the same time.
I would not touch this artist with a 10 ft pole.

About a half to one-third of artists I commission are this tardy. The real bugger-boo about it is that you can't tell when you just missed the train on their punctuality and are left at the station for the next six months when you thought you'd get a fast turn around.
I actually consider two weeks (before mailing if I get traditional) to be fast.
