[identity profile] hamburger.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] artists_beware
Okay, it looks like what happened is that when the OP unlocked the post, the tags vanished. I'm not sure why I didn't find the post when I was looking for it, but I've readded the tags and the post is alive and well. PLEASE, IF YOU LOCK OR UNLOCK A POST CONTACT A MOD TO REDO THE TAGS AS LJ DELETES THEM! THANKS!

It's worrisome that the post was deleted in the first place :/.

I know that deleting posts isn't allowed but I hope it was an indication that everything was resolved instead of Synchra having more problems with Spain

To my limited knowledge, the problems have not at all been resolved.

I think this is the second post she might have deleted in A_B, after being told deleting was against the rules: at the time she first posted, I remember seeing on that review she linked to, the post Lilenth mentions seems to have mysteriously disappeared.

(Just wasn't sure if it was worth bringing up at the time, plus the post was made before the rule was in place.)

That was the first place I checked once I saw it was deleted here. I was surprised to see it up there too.

I know she was pretty hesitant about posting here in the first place

Sorry if I shouldn't have had brought that up.

Looks like there was a little confusion with the mods, hence the update. :3

Other people other than the OP can delete posts on here? The heck?

Nah, the OP deleted it.

Odd, I thought posts couldn't be deleted on AB anymore.

The people who make the posts can still delete their entries. The mods have no control over this. :(

Wow, I'm sorry that this entry was deleted, it had so many good comments and was really well written in terms of providing evidence.

Any idea why it was removed? I hope she wasn't pressured by the artist.

No, usually people who take down posts have either negotiated with their commissioner and both ends are satisfied, or are being exposed as making a false claim. I fail to see how someone can be pressured to remove a post, what possible consequence could an artist hold over the poster that would drive them to remove it?

From: [identity profile] scardykat85.livejournal.com
Was there physical evidence of this, or just hearsay? I'm not well read in commissioner drama having only been in this group a short while. I also try not to take any statements as definite truth, even with e-mail screen shots as those can also be faked. At a point of being threatened like that, if it really mattered, then legal action should have been taken. Was there?

It was my understanding that it actually happened before in this community with the threat of "Take down the post about me or I will never-ever-ever send the product you paid for that I was supposed to send you 100 years ago anyway."

Date: 2011-04-19 10:34 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] scardykat85.livejournal.com
As I stated above, it's hard for me to see this being the case. And, as the post now is corrected, proves that this is not the case for this complaint. I am also extremely suspicious of any allegation based on e-mail screen shots as these can be faked.

Suit yourself, I was only pointing out that there have been artists who have pressured people to remove posts. As Burger stated, that's why they log the posts.

"Starfinder messaged me yesterday afternoon and said "If you remove the post I'll give you a refund." I asked why she wouldn't just give me the picture she said was done, and she said she didn't know what DVD it was saved on.

I said, okay, fine. She refunded me through PayPal and I said I'd remove the post. Then, I asked her what she'd do if I didn't remove the post, and she said she'd reverse the PayPal transaction."

Edit: Speaking of whom, as that's a classic Starfinderism, would it be worth tagging the post I just linked?

8| never deleted my post...................

I didn't realize unlocking it would do that.. I had like 20 people ask me to unlock it.. I mentioned it in the comments at one point even.

yeah.. >.< I didn't actually understand the entry.. when I saw it then I saw all these comments and I was like wtf?!?! then I went back and read the entry after I read the comments and it finally made sense. doh. Sorry.. confusing.. x.x Weird to see a bunch of people talking about you doing something you never did. heh.

But yeah the issue still isn't resolved. I had a demand letter written up and sent it but she never responded so I am probably going to small claims court unless I can find another way of resolving the issue. Any other legal action seems to require a response from the other party though. I wish I could talk to her and just work SOMETHING out instead of doing this but I have tried every thing.

Well the main thing is we know this can happen now right, just a wierd quirk of LJ :)

Hopefully you can get something out of her though ugh.

Yeah! very odd. haha.

Good news though on my end! I got mail last night when I came home from work (had to work until 12 am last night.) So I finally have a response and it looks like we may be able to work stuff out now. :) (Finally!!!!!! After a year of waiting for some sort of indication as to what was going on on her end.)
