Hi there everyone!

I really hate to post here, but I feel this needs to be out there. I completely love Fry's work, no way here I am bashing her(or him?) work. She has talent. :)I am still willing to work with Fry, I just need some sort of contact and a completion date, or even refund.

So here is my story I suppose. I saw a few of her postings on fursuitauctions about fursuit foam heads and feet paws commissions. I was instantly interested. So I shot her an e-mail asking about it. http://i51.tinypic.com/64qeci.jpg

I got a quick response http://i54.tinypic.com/qzrwbc.jpg

This got me excited! I can get one of these awesome foam heads! wewt! http://i53.tinypic.com/riz3b5.jpg.

She responded http://i55.tinypic.com/6sgod3.jpg

So I sent the money in! Since she was in Europe I sent it in euros, but she had refunded it because it needed to be pounds. I understood and so I resent it in pounds. It cost more, but I understood its how things just work.

So from then on there wasn't much communication besides me sending off the fur for the feet. I don't like to hassle people I commission so I thought I was being pretty good about not bugging her. I was in no hurry. No completion date was discussed, but by the sounds of it she was going to get started fairly soon, and should be more than a few months.

Eventually I sent a note on LJ because I had seen her on there recently (at that time) http://i55.tinypic.com/11wftyu.jpg This did bring up my hopes. She had worked on it and was too far off. So again I left her some time. Again I am in no hurry, just a tad concerned. This was the last time I had heard from Fry. I had sent more emails and LJ messages. I have been polite in all of them. Stating I am in no hurry. Just an update would be nice.

Am I being too nice and not pushy? I've never had to do this before >.<

So I think that's all the needed info. I have screen caps of payments to prove I did pay.

I hope this helps anyone in my situation or anyone considering commissioning Fry.

I'm do feel bad about posting, but I cannot just sit here any longer.

Thank you .

I'd send it certified. I've thought about sending a letter as well.

Did you ever get a response to your letter? I'm still trying to get contact with Fry...

Did you send the 100 pound down payment or the entire asking price?

Also while it looks like it's far too late to open a paypal style dispute, you may want to look into a CC chargeback, as they will often have different deadlines and can help you out.

Because a deadline wasn't expressly given, I can see why you'd be hesitant to post/ have things possibly turned around on you, but I think you have been WAY overly patient. A simple "I'm alive, here's what's up" email takes only a few minutes tops, and public libraries have free internet.

Maybe try an e-mail strongly asking for any proof or communication and let her know you want to see progress or you will look for a refund? (I don't know if you'd still want the head at this point or not.) But still. GL.

Honestly I don't think it matters much how nice or pushy you've been, considering that there's no sign whatsoever that's she's even been online in at least four months. Same with warning people against commissioning her, as it'd be hard to do so without her checking into her fA or dA.

My advice at this point would be to look for a chargeback. I get the sense that something has happened to this artist and for some reason or another she *can't* get online. If you have no other way to contact her via offline means, it doesn't leave you much of a choice than to seek a forced refund however you can and hope it doesn't make whatever situation she may be in even worse.

At the very least, the bank activity may wake her up and motivate her to get to a library if it's a simple case of not having internet access.

huh, after reading some of the other comments it looks like she's had chronic issues. I still find it odd that she's had no internet activity in this long, but perhaps she switched aliases...?

It's a shame. She does have nice work.

It's sounding like a lot of folks have issues with this person... know if they have any prior happy customers??

I commissioned her for a foam base (cow) long time ago. It took me months to get it and I had to be really over her, because she was not keeping the deadlines. It also took half an eternity to get shipped to me for God knows what ever reason. I was afraid it was "lost" but it did show up eventually. She also promised me a pair of eyes but they never showed up.

In all I was happy with the product but after Confuzzled last year I haven't seen or heard anything from her.

Hurm, so she's kinda had chronic issues before dropping off entirely, sounds like, rather than being a) totally new, taking on a huge workload, and disappearing or b) being established and conscientious, then disappearing.

I bought a half finished foam base a few years ago now, it got lost in the mail and I got most of a refund. o_o; I'm beginning to think it was never mailed? But I got most my money back, sooo I'm not sure how to feel about it.

Yeah, not sounding like they had a stellar track record BEFORE they totally vanished then :/

Sounds like a cash n' dash, or she/he is very ill or deceased.

Hey Azure? Have you been able to contact her? She owes me a feline head base for over 2 years now and I haven't heard a word from her. I've sent her notes and whatnot but none have been opened... I would really love to just check in and see if she hasn't forgotten. I'm in no rush I am just wanting to know she's alight...

What had happened was she did a partial trade. $300 for a Qarrezel head I had and a foam head base. She sent the $300 so I sent the mask, never hearing from her again. Call me an idiot for sending the mask before the foam base was done... *facepalms*

Holy shit, I'm sorry you lost a Qarrezel mask to her for that little!
