Many other people have had this issue but I'm wondering if there's anyone out there that has had RECENT contact with this artist... Has anyone talked to Fry-Fuzzmutt/Kelsey Wilson recently?

Here's the deal. I had reFURbished a rather old Qarrezel head about a year ago and posted it up on FurBuy to help pay for college funds. She came, bid, and requested a payment plan. I accepted then got to looking at her gallery. I noticed she had an awesome feline foam base for sale and offered a partial trade. Half the price for the mask and the other half for a foam base from her. She agreed excitedly and sent the first payment. We conversed a few times and I, being young and inexperienced (aka STUPID)  sent the mask on good faith... Bad idea because I never heard from her again... not a word, not a note.. My FA notes remain untouched...

I went back through and found her e-mail in hopes she still uses that particular address...

If anyone has current contact with her, can you please give aid? All I'm asking is either for her to follow through with her deal, pay the second half of what she owes, or send the head back and I will refund her what she sent me...

I've noticed that she tends to go MIA a lot.. I'm not sure why really. If you look back on her tags, there are a lot of MIA/lost contact posts about her.

I don't really know her, but I wish you luck in finding her again.

Er, scratch that. There's one MIA post about her. But I do recall seeing some lost contact posts on the Fursuit LJ.

I posted a MIA thread on UKfur a while back, and no one knew anything.

Ugh, is makes me sick when people do this.. Especially someone who has a lot of talent like she does. :/

Some people don't do it on purpose. Sometimes life gets a hold of someone. :c

Sure, but unless she's literally dead or in a coma, (and if that is the case apologies), she's acting very poorly. Even if she's gotten sick, she owes money or work to a lot of people, it would take 30 seconds to post SOMETHING to let them know she hasn't dropped of the face of the earth.

Eh, depends on how they usually get online. And sometimes life blows up and not everyone has easy access to the internet or time to even think about the internet once life goes to hell.

Yeah, but she's done this more than one time. I mean really, it doesn't take that long to make a post about her situation (if any). Even if she doesn't have internet, im sure she knows SOMEONE who could post on her behalf.
I mean you don't want to lose what little reputation you have left. :/

It's just very unprofessional to just up and leave, especially in the middle of a sale or something.

I dont think its the case of her going missing coming back. THEN going missing again. She never returned and judging from the dates on the Ops post and the other AB logs. All these commissions/buys happened within a few months of one another.

Either way you'd think she would atleast have a good friend that would of known what happened to her.

Maybe she's secretly a hermit. :I

But no, i completely agree. I find it weird that not even people who know her have said anything on her behalf, if there even is anyone.

Maybe she can't answer phone messages at this time.

These last few months I had a coworker go mysteriously MIA. She doens't live too far from work but everyone was trying to respect her privacy. We called and left dozens of messages and finally out of the blue when she needed union support for job abandonment, she finally calls me. I advise her to do everything the mail she got requested, and a few days later her phone was disconnected. She missed her court date. Even her sister, listed as her work emergency contact, had no idea what was up.

My point being... if life has gone to hell for her as it seems to have done for my coworker, it might take a while to find out what happened. And even people she suited with (who are not necessarily people she trusts to tell "oh yeah, all this major shit has happened such as: (insert totally personal info here) might not have the inside scoop.

Just giving her the benefit of the doubt here, based on a similar experience I just went through, and am still going through, with that coworker.

Not everyone who has online friends happens to know or stay in touch with them through non-on-line means. I do, though I didn't always, through texting or through mutual non-on-line friends, but not everyone has that.

Oh yeah, I know your intentions. I just took exception to gaturguts calling her a hermit or saying it was weird that even her friends wouldn't say anything for her.

i rechecked her channel, turns out it's a little longer at 6 month. But that was the time when Fatkraken posted a journal on the whereabouts of Fry. My hunch is that she is now using a new username for things and maybe abandoned the fandom.

Hmm. I recommend looking up her name and city and seeing if any news articles come up, just in case. ;_;

Hey, just a heads up, you left the artist's real name in that paypal screencap. I don't know if they have posted their real name elsewhere, but if they haven't, you will need to edit that out.

I apologize for missing that when I approved the post. Yes, please edit out the artist's real name in the pic, unless you can point me to a site where they've used it in relation to their art. :)

I'm not sure I would worry too much. Her name is awfully average.

The thing about this that bothers me is that Fry Fuzzmutt had a very successful future in fursuit making. People were practically begging her for commissions and she obviously spent time establishing herself by putting her works on youtube and D.A. So why just turn all that away for a quick buck? And what's the use of stealing a fursuit head if you don't go fursuiting or to cons? Something just doesn't feel right about this.

This might sound a bit grim but has anyone run an obituary search featuring her name and area? I hate to think the worst happened but we all do live our real lives which unfortunately include a factor of mortality...

That sucks about the head though. I really do hope she turns up with your money/half of the trade soon.

I do hope with all my heart that she shows up again, partly because she owes so many people, partly so that we know she's okay, and partly because she's got so much potential to be a big name. =(

My search has turned up nothing. From what I saw on her PT account, she lists Manchester, Great Britian and Northern Ireland as her place of residence. Combined with her real name on the screencap, I really didn't find much of anything.

The latest activity I have seen from Fry, judging from their FA and youtube, was they were around 6 months ago and visited their channel. They have been inactive for a year on FA though.

Just a heads up - she posted on FA today. Go note her there because she's requested people do so.

Good luck!
