Long time reader, first time poster.

H E L P! I have never had this happen. A commission has been returned to me with "REF" written on it. Has anyone had a package refused?
address and tracking no# has been blurred

Anywho, I'm looking to contact Soulfire...

I approved this, but if you have any other info on them it'd help. Are they 'Soulfire' on FA?

Um ... well, I don't know how true this is in this case, but I know I've lived places where mail carriers will under no circumstances deliver mail unless the package is addressed to the name of someone living at a given address. If the package is addressed c/o Soulfire, and there is no other name, that could well be the case here.

It's better not to use pseudonyms on your mail anyway.

Well, at least you have proof that you tried if he gets tetchy with you.

That's odd because I always heard that mail carriers have to deliver to the address on the package regardless of whether they know the person lives one house over. Like, if someone sent me something to 10 Fake St, but I actually live at 8 Fake St and the mail carrier knew this, they are not legally allowed to deliver it to 8 Fake St since it is address to 10.

So with this in mind, I wouldn't think the mail carrier would be allowed to "decide" whether there was a soulfire at 132 False Road. They should just deliver to the address on the package because hey, what if I was staying at a friend's house and needed someone delivered?

I thought that was odd too, especially since I've sent and received packages from friends on DeviantART before and more than once they put my DA username instead of my actual name and it was still delivered.
I guess it depends on the mail carrier?

I think that may have been the wrong address. Someone probably looked at it and didn't recognize who it was addressed to, so they returned it. It looks like someone actually wrote on there the "Return to Sender (RTS)," so whoever was at that address refused to recieve it

I found these:

Perhaps there is some info on there he can be reached at? Nothing of his seems very active though!

And see if any of his friends listed on this places may know of where else to reach him!

It was refused by the recipient, but NOT an incorrect address. They'd have other codes for wrong address/recipient.

You might see MLNA (Moved, Left No Address) or ANK (Attempted, Not Known) or something similar if it was a case of wrong address, or the person moved.

They were there, they just did not want to take that package for whatever reason.

Agreed- it looks like, on the "reason" sticker, it was marked refused. Also, the delivery confirmation number might say "refused" if you look it up; I know it will say that it's on the way back to the sender if it's being returned but I don't know if it shows the reason why.

But yes, it sounds like this package made it to the address, but was refused. If he used to live at that address but he's since moved and old roommates refused to accept his mail, it could be returned like this.

No. That's exactly what MLNA is for.
