I am very sorry for your loss and I understand it must be very hard for you.
I apologize for not being too sympathetic earlier but it was a business deal and i did not want to dwell on personal matters. Especially when they were being used against me.
I really dislike your last sentence. Dont forget that there are many people whom may be reading this. Not all of whom are new to that pain or can ever have children. Personally, I cannot bear children which may be another reason why i found it so hard to be sympathetic.
In general, though, many people do not want much if any personal talk with people they pay. My boss could care less if i would have a family emergency as it is not her business, her business is if i do my job correctly. And when i am in a store and ask for assistance it is not my business if the employee is going through a hard time nor would it be their place to try to guilt me when i ask questions.
It is all a matter of separating your personal life from your business. Ever business person has to learn how to do that.
