WHO: Shiuk Shiuk Salamander

WHERE: shiuk.furrynet.com/

WHAT: Artwork of a pair of charicters.

WHEN: Date of Comission: April 12th - 14th Date of request for refund: August 10th

PROOF: http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l156/RedFlameZero/Shiuk.png

EXPLAIN: The initil commissioning went smooth, Shiuk was quick-responding, perfessional and all that jazz. I was also polite and patent, for the first two months. Afterwards all I got in responce were variotions of 'Working on it right now' or 'gonna be done soon' or 'artists block'. During that time, he was releasing full color images tens of times more complex than what I requested. All or most of my E-Mails went completely ignored, and the ones that were responded to were mentioned above. The straw that broke my back, was the starting of a large project by him ontop of communications with another commissioner who is currently in the same situation. I also sent my Paypal Address to Shiuk as soon as he responded to my E-mail. I sent several like it with the header 'refund', but got no responce. So I was forced to resort to a header that seemed like a threat. Is there anything I can do to assure I get my funds back? Seeing as PayPal only covers the first 45 days.

From your screen shot it looks as though they have already agreed to refund you and that they are just waiting for your paypal e-mail. Unless you've already sent it and it's been some time, I say send him the e-mail and see what happens.

I'd like to see more screen shots though. It's hard to judge what really happened here just on the one.

If I may suggest something, you might want to edit the post and add that bit of information to make it clearer for people who read this post. There should be a little pencil icon on this post where you can do that.

Looks like they're screwing you over. You can try to contact Paypal about it but I don't know how much they can do about it being that's it's been so long since you sent him the money. Good luck -- you haven't sent another email since you sent him your paypal email address?

Well not only can you file a complain for him not doing the work, but I'm pretty sure he does adult commissions through paypal which is hugely against their TOS. You may want to threaten him with reporting him for that as well.

I've had a problem with him before when I commissioned a conbadge at RainFurrest, in 2008. I've been trying to keep in touch with him on that, and sending several notes and emails, asking where it is. All I got were "I can't send this because you're in Canada", which I said that's utter crap, as I've received many parcels, most of them were badges, from the US, and then some. A year later, RainFurrest 2009, I confronted him, got my badge, and told him I will never again do business, as he's not professional about it, making excuses and not replying to emails.

From which I've also gathered, it seems he only does art quickly for those he likes. The only thing we can do is recommend folks against commissioning him.

If the agreement notes are still in your FA note archive, my suggestion would be to open a trouble ticket and inform to the admins of his shady business activity.

First, I'd like to apologise for the late post, as I haven't checked LJ in a bit. Gearing up for RainFurrest.

Second, yes, he really did BS me there, since I get parcels from other artists living in the States. Heck, I even got one from Germany with no trouble at all. Even my ThinkGeek orders come in from America!

The best we could possibly do is report him to the FA admins for his BS business practise, but that's about all we could do.

If you had a real issue, you would have talked to me at RainFurrest. You passed right by my table and didn't say a word.

I didn't stop by your table at RainFurrest was because I'd thought you would get angry if I brought something up like this. That, and I'm still a bit ticked that the badge I received doesn't look all that great in terms of quality, at least in my opinion. :/

Thanks, but no thanks. I appreciate the offer, though, but time frame is also another issue; you didn't ship the badge into Canada, which strikes me as odd, because some of the badges I requested entered the country from the United States with no hassle at all. And my ThinkGeek orders, as well.

I'm still unsure as to why you couldn't ship things into Canada when nothing (other than postal fees) is stopping you from doing so, and quite honestly, I think it's best if I didn't.
