Yeah, the tone of voice was a bit off putting to me as well.
I think what bothered me the most was the no refunds policy, in addition to the understanding that it may take anywhere from a several weeks to a few months to complete a commission. I've never had to request a refund, but emergencies do happen. I'd be very uncomfortable handing over money for that amount of time knowing that it may be a long while before he even got to my commission, without any possibility that I could get it back if something did suddenly pop up.
I hope that makes sense. :( TOS are fantastic in that they protect the artist, but as a commissioner, I'd appreciate a bit of protection myself.
